What Was The First Song You Ever Remember Hearing growing up? mine was 'maggie may' by Rod Stewart followed by 'don't bring me down' by ELO.

For me, it would have to be Indian Reservation by Paul Revere and the Raiders. Still a powerful song.

This is the first song that I remember enjoying. My dad had this cool console stereo that would blow the walls out. He had Blood, Sweat, & Tears, Chicago, The Carpenters and other stuff like that. Was pretty cool.

Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey by Paul McCartney. We were on a road trip to California when I was a kid. We were taking my newly widowed grandmother to see her sister in our '69 Ford Ranch Wagon. AM radio, Mom, Dad, Granny, 3 kids and a dog.

Granny kept telling my dad that the back seat was really hot and burning her butt. He told her she was just imagining things. All the way from Oklahoma to California and back this went on. A few weeks later my dad had the car worked on and it turns out the muffler had a hole in it on the top side, right under where Granny was sitting.

All these years later, when I hear that song, I think of Granny.

My Mom said I was always singing the theme song to "The Electric Company" and driving everyone nuts.

Mine was Kansas-"Wayward son". I remember vividly going to a drive-in theater in Canada with my brother (who is ten years older) and a bunch of his friends. He had a shitty Datsun B 210 with an 8-track player. I also remember being scared shitless that night, because he kept driving down the road with his lights off! Dumbass!!!

LOL! In 1964 (I was 4) we took a road trip from Illinois to California, mom, dad and 6 kids in a station wagon. When we got to Pasadena I guess my dad must've had an Elvis Presley epiphany 'cuz he traded in the wagon for a pink cadillac! That was some trip traveling back.

I remember loving the smell of those weird looking cigarettes they always shared when they tool me to concerts. Imagine being seven or so and seeing Boston on your sisters shoulders. I will never forget that. Dont look back tour I guess.. I started getting interesting in drumming and singing right after that. The next day she got me their 1st album and I loved it so much and still do to this day.. EVERY FUCKING SONG ON IT RULES...

I remember it like it was yesterday, I was about 3-4 yrs old in the doctors office with
my Meme and Sing from the Carpenters came on their radio.
I've always thought that's where my love for uppity feel good songs came from.

I remember watching the movie Yellow Submarine on TV when I was a kid, and the Beatles were always on, so it may have been that song.

As far as I could remember it was either "Panama" by Van Halen or "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith.

When I was really young though, my mom listened to a lot of Journey and Chicago and Bob Seger... explains alot!

I THINK it would be "Anytime" by Journey. I was a toddler when that album came out and I had an 18 year old sister in the house playing it all the time. Years later when I got my own copy - having never actually realized that was a Journey song becasue it was never on the radio or anythign when I was gorwing up, I was like "I remember this! THIS was Journey? No shit?" LOL!
