IRON FUCKING MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw it this afternoon...now THAT'S what a funny book movie should be all about! Great cast...Downey Jr is NOTE PERFECT!!! Great to see a film that combines the fun and action of a comic with strong performances and just the right touch of darkness. Incredible film! I predict it will OWN all the other films at the box office this year!!!!!
And if you go...AND you're a comic geek...STAY TILL AFTER THE FINAL CREDITS for a swell cameo!

Ripper...I think you hear me talking!!!!

Dude, I saw your thread title and knew just what was coming... Yes, it ROCKS! Saw it on sneak night, and LOVED it! Downey was excellent -- humurous throughout, but serious when the role called for it. The only thing I would like to have seen was a little more red/gold armor action, because he kicked butt on those terrorists. But I know this is only outing one -- there will be much more to come in the sequel.

One thing I get sick of are critics who pan the long length of a film like this -- ok, I totally understand people ripping the first Hulk for it's ponderous pace, but to jab Iron Man for being too slow, especially during the building of the Mark I suit, shows their ignorance to me. I didn't find it slow or sluggish in the least, and I think the real problem is this generation's A.D.D. movie-going audience which demands a series of short and sweet visual quick-fixes as opposed to story and character development. Idiots...

And I was just about spot-on -- by the time the bonus scene aired after the final credits, about 93%-94% of the audience had left.

Anyway, back to Iron Man -- remember that this is the FIRST release by Marvel's film division, and it definitely proves that they know how best to handle their own characters. One can only hope the same for The Incredible Hulk coming soon. That new trailer aired right before the show, and yes, the new Hulk looks very, very CGI. But I'm sure if you suspend disbelief, the film is going to kick A!

My fave line, so far....I hear it all the time in radio promos:

"They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire; I prefer the weapon you only need to fire...ONCE.
That's how DAD did it; that's how AMERICA does it...

....and it's worked out pretty well so far."

Cannot WAIT to see this!

It's awesome, and he has so many great lines in this film -- it's a contant stream of them. I suspect they either let him ad-lib quite a bit, or let him fine-tune the dialog, because it's picture perfect Robert Downey, Jr. Also love his comments when Pepper Potts tells him he's about to miss his flight -- on his own private jet.

Turns out this film is so far RottenTomatoes.com's BEST REVIEWED film of the year, and possibly their HIGHEST RATED superhero film to date!

Saw it today. Loved it! The only negative is ugly ass Gwyneth Paltrow. Ruined every scene she was in. Robert Downey Jr. kicked ass. Great new comic-movie franchise.

Saw the preview for Batman, too. Looks like another winner. Hulk trailer sucked.

My favourite line too...!

But you've only HEARD it...wait till you see Downey Jr. say it with his deadpan expression....

Timeless...!
