I'm sure all Wal Mart "exclusives" get that top slot. At any rate, I hope it sells well. :D 8)

Neil Diamond rocks. I like Love On The Rocks, September Morning, Forever In Blue Jeans, and a few others. Forever in Blue Jeans is the only song I've ever done karaoke on. Let's just say that it was a site to behold.

Not really sure, but Sylvia was great back in the day. The person I played that for knows who she is, and I thank her for turning me back on to that song. 8)

Funny cause any time I ever find myself at a Karaoke bar, a Neil Diamond song being done is a given. I would be willing to bet that the number 1 most done karaoke tune would be "Sweet Caroline."

I never got into Diamond either, though I also liked the Monkey's tunes as a kid.

And about the album from Journey in Wal-Marts.......I'm rounding up all my peso's so I'll be good and ready for that Journey to Wal-Mart for the purchase, I'm planning to get at least one copy. I may get a few though. Anyone know if there is going to be any pix inside on the sleeve of Arnel and the rest of the band? It would be too cool if there was also a 10 to 15 page booklet inside of band pix. Well I guess I'm just asking for a little bit too much..... like I do everything else in life.
I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

I got a few questions about this Wal-Mart deal with releasing the Journey album. How did this come about? The Caveman mixes it and then it's mass produced and sent to Wal-Mart? Wasn't there a record label involved? I'm just trying to understand how this album and Wal-Mart came about. I've always thought that a major record label had to be involved.

I always thought it came about because there WASN'T a major record label involved. I thought Journey was looking for a label to release this album on, and Wal-Mart's offer was very enticing. An article I read in Rolling Stone said that Wal-Mart paid Journey four times as much as any label would pay them. And they paid them up front.

Are you sure? I seem to remember a particular night (although YOU may not  ) when a group of drunken Journey fans sang some Karaoke to Separate Ways in Manassas, Virginia. I guess it's possible that you were busy snaking on Kam, though...
