I am pumped for this...have never seen her live before, but I won't make that mistake this time!

Kansas City, MO (CNS) - "The Queen of Rock & Roll" is set to embark on a tour. A source has confirmed that Tina Turner will go on her first tour in eight years this fall.

An insider confirms to Billboard.com that Turner's tour will kick off at the Sprint Center in Kansas City on October 1. The arena tour will be promoted by AEG live and will include close to 40 shows in North America.

The tour will also possibly be followed by a European tour and other international venues.

Turner is expected to officially announce the tour following her guest appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." Tickets would go on sale on May 12.

According to Billboard Boxscore, the 68-year-old singer's 2000 tour was the top-grossing tour of that year, which grossed nearly $110 million.

Saw an ad for Opy and she had Cher and Tina on. Tina looks great! I don't care how old she is, she's awesome. Can sing the crap out of anything. Cher looked like some kind of Michael Jackson-esque animatronic freak. Ugh!

Saw her live back in '98 (can't really remember exactly), but she was Much better than the band. What vocals! She said one of the funniest things during the show. After an 40 mins in, after all the prancing and the whole works, she said like she was out of breath "Now, Im gonna do something that I've never before in concert. Im gonna...Im gonna...Im gonna ..SIT DOWN!

I was clicking channels and saw Tina performing. Doing a great show as usual. Then Cher joins her in a skirt shorter than Tina's.

I almost puked right there from the sight of Cher's pasty white legs (read tree trunks). Couldn't watch anymore. Later found out it was the Oprah show.
