I am soo excited. I love Richie Sambora. Although part of me thinks, WTF? If this is true, I will have to upgrade my $8 cable. Damn it.

RICHIE SAMBORA is set to replace BRET MICHAELS in the next season of TV dating show ROCK OF LOVE, according to reports.
Poison frontman Michaels recently wrapped season two when he chose wannabe actress Ambre Lake as the winner and his new girlfriend.
Despite the first season being exposed as a fraud - the winning contestant already had a boyfriend - Michaels and Lake insists this time it is for real, and they are handing the show over to another single star.
Bon Jovi guitarist Sambora 48, has been single since his April 2007 divorce from actress Heather Locklear and a shortlived romance with Locklear's former pal Denise Richards ended last year (07).
And TV bosses want to help him find love. A source tells American magazine OK!, "He's perfect for TV. If you thought Bret (Michaels) was must see TV, you ain't seen anything yet. Richie is going to be a train wreck looking for love."

I really like Richie and this would bring some respectability to that nasty show (which I watched every eposide of...LOL)...but surely Ricie is someone above such a novelty and I can't see that JBJ would like this.

Let's get a little more realistic at what he can look like at certain moments..and what he is going through right now..he has got a lot of crap going on in his life right now..even being who/what he is..and outside of getting on tv..why in the world would anyone want to get involved with all his crap..ok..we know why..typical 'stardom' reasons..
I don't see this happening or going the whole way..there at least better not be any booze around..but what would the show be without that..I don't know..this is not at all what he should be doing right now..wow..

One of my main buds is a SERIOUS buzzkill. Literally and undeniably.

I could write a book about how lame this guy is.

He makes stevew2 seem as entertaining as a pirate on stilts fighting a ninja on a hang glider.

But there is a much better one out there that I can't find right now -- again in swimming trunks and a huge, bloated gut hanging out. More of a side shot. Yeah, that will be a season to watch.

When Jon Bon Giovi (or whatever the hell his real name is) becomes Richie Sambora, he can talk! :P

Ah, but unlike some guys, we girls can look past guts and receding hairlines.

:D

The alcohol is another story. :(

I'll just keep watching the video for Ballad of Youth. Guts may grow but videos are eternal!

What?!? Denise Richards, the hottest woman on Planet Earth, caused you to go blind? From her sheer radiance, yes?

Maybe he should call Pam Anderson
Complete the chain of Tommy Lee Rejects
Heck also been with a Charlie Sheen gal...
Guess that didn't work...

Maybe Richie is just a good guy
looking for love
so he has love handles & he's cried a few too many tears

when you love a man
you learn to look deeper than all that...\

Wishing him the best!

Well, hopefully if it works out, he'll add a bit more class to the show. If there is one thing I've never been able to stand about Bret Michaels, it's his tasteless propensity to brag on himself and his exploits -- he's been this way since the 80's. He completely treats the girls like objects for his personal pleasure, and more than a few of them have called him out for not seeming to look beyond skin level with them. And notice how often he kinda gets turned off and distant when they appear hurt by his behavior with other girls. This guy is no long-term prize...

Now Richie, despite his drinking problem, has much more of a reputation as a solid family man. I just can't imagine him plowing thru the girls like Bret Michael does. Actually... I really can't imagine him agreeing to do a show like this...

But if he does, good luck to your friend!

Why do you think he would add class to the show? I don't watch it, but it seems to be a sleazy show that doesn't want to be classed up.

I think in general he's a more stand-up guy than Bret, with a much better reputation. But... maybe this is why it's all a rumor... You are right -- the show itself will never have class, and will always focus on exploiting as much drama for entertainment as possible, no matter who the star is. I never said he would make the show classy, only that he would add some class... haha!

Obviously, all these shows are a big publicity stunt. At this point it could be him, BJ management, and VH1 saying, "Hey, if he doesn't do anything really stupid, this could change his current image to fans, etc." "That he has been having a tough time and while a "star," he has the same struggles as the average Joe... working for the sympathy vote." Just a thought.
