Creepy, but are they gonna fuck up this Batman movie by having two villians? WHY OH WHY do they do that? Is the friggin JOKER not enough to keep us into a 2 hour film? Oh well...perhaps he'll just show up at the end?

As long as they never, ever, ever bring back the Penguin, they should be OK. Stupidest villain ever.

I think they are really only setting Two-Face up in this film -- from what I understand, he doesn't appear in all his glory until near the very end, so this will definitely be The Joker's film. Actually, I hope it will be Batman's film... the original run of movies were all about the villains.

I believe that Nolan mentioned they weren't going to explore the Penguin, just cant remember where I saw that. Peguin was fine for the TV series but Burton messed that up in Batman Returns.

The burnt side, with the exposed jaw is John Carl Buechler's motif for Kane Hodder's Jason in F13 Pt 7.

Anybody remember how annoyingly over-the-top Tommy Lee Jones' 2 face was in Batman Forever?

Uggh, don't remind me.

Here is the article that briefly mentioned no Peguin. www.thestar.com/entertainment/Movies/article/421707

Yes... the fuschia. Dear Lord... the 90's man.

Hey Rip, sweet find... that is some amazing make-up art right there. Eerie, as well.

Amazing mention... I once had the chance to talk to JCB about his work in that film. It was something he didn't want to be involved in unless he could take it in his own direction.

JCB's Jason is still the consensus favorite "look" among the fans.
Myself I prefer the more alive look in JGTH and JX.

great makeup-

WHY do they always feel the need to overvillianize the movie? Is one not enough?? Having two villians muddies the waters...

Reminds me of Gibson in "Man Without A Face".

I can't remeber which Jason or Folm it was, but I remember in one of
the films, Jason looked just like Maiden's "Eddie" I absolutely
LOVED that look!!!

BTW, I'm agreeing with some that this Two-Face will be minor
to set up the next film. This one will be ALL Joker.

Anyone know if the Director did any editting after Ledger's death,
possibly adding more scenes that were cut and/or footage of Ledger since his untimely death???
From what we've seen in the trailers, Ledger looks to be incredible iin this flick.

Oops, sometimes I jump in before reading each post...

Yeah, the Michael Keaton Batman had ONE Joker and that was actually a VERY cool movie, but every one since has had multiple villains:

Batman II- Penguin, Catwoman, Christopher Walken (whoever the heck he was)- Best part about this movie was seeing Pee Wee Herman in a cameo at the beginning as, I think, the Penguin's dad. It was the fist anybody had seen him since ... he went to the theatre.

Batman Forever (STUPID FRIGGIN NAME)- Had Two Face, Poison Ivy, and The Riddler. Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face was crap. Carey as The Riddler wasn't as bad as I thought, but still too much of Jim Carey in the character. I don't know though, he kind of played it like Frank Gorshin in the 60s, but way more over the top and slightly gay at points. Kilmer was brilliant as Doc Holiday, but as Batman, not so much.

Batman and Robin (Oh, and Batgirl for pointlessness)- Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy. First of all, WHO the F would cast Uma Therman as a 'hot chick'. Butterface. Ugh! What a dog this chick is. Put a leash on her and make her wait outside. Schwarzeneger as Mr. Freeze- nuff said. This movie was by far the worst in the series. Terrible. I don't think I've ever been able to watch it all the way through.

Batman BEGINS- This one had 3 villains: The mob guy, Raz Al Ghul, and the Scarecrow. Did anybody else think that the Scarecrow guy looked like Tom Welling (smallville clark kent) sat on Prince and created this weird looking person? Weird looking dude. Having said that, this was a GREAT movie. They tied the villains together without making an 'arch enemies' kind of thing like the first Batman flick in the 60s.

Somebody should make a Batman movie that's more scary in that he somehow gets taken to Arkham Asylum and he's actually suffered a mental break with reality. That'd be way cool.

Yes, letting my geek show. I'm a Batman fan. The other thing - the 1st Keaton one had a great soundtrack from Prince and another had a great song from U2. Just thought I'd mention them.

I read in an article somewhere that they had some trouble recording some voice overs that Heath had not finished. That was all the detail they used. I'll try to find the article.

Awesome picture!!!!
I wonder how long he has to sit in the makeup chair for that...

Batman Forever (STUPID FRIGGIN NAME)- Had Two Face, Poison Ivy, and The Riddler.

Poison Ivy was not in this movie. Riddler & Two-Face had girls, but neither was Poison Ivy.

Batman and Robin (Oh, and Batgirl for pointlessness)- Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy.

Don't forget Bane.

Batman Returns- This one had 3 villains: The mob guy, Raz Al Ghul, and the Scarecrow.

You mean Batman Begins, right? The "mob guy" is Carmine Falcone. Don't forget the cameo from Mr. Zsasz.

Your "geek" needs to study up. 8)

Batman And Robin, oh God.

Arnie ripping off humiliating lines like "Cheeel Owt" and "Yur not trowing meee in da coooola."

annoying ANNOYING Silverstone riding a goddam Batcycle, Clooney indadvertently portraying Batman as light in the loafers..... It's amazing they got Batman Begins greenlit at ALL after that thing.

Nice job, Schumacher.

Oops, I typed the poison ivy thing, then remembered it was in the Mr. Freeze one, and forgot to edit my sentence. I DID forget Bane, who was waisted and hardly looked threatening enough to be the guy from Knightfall. Actually, I didn't know Mr. Zsasz until I checked Wikipedia. I haven't read the comics for a LONG time (80s?)- just catch one of the major ones now and then, so I didn't know that character. I remember Scarecrow mentioning him in the flick, but the reference was lost on me. "Returns" aghgggg- too much going on at the moment.

Minor adjustment to my previous statement -- Harvey Dent will be a major character in this story, but he only becomes Two Face near the end as a possible set up for the next movie.

There was actually some speculation about that, mainly involving a scene where The Joker is seen feigning death in a casket. Apparently some were worried it would be too sensitive and needed to be cut, but the word came down that the scene was indeed left intact, along with his entire performance. They felt this would be the best way to honor his work in the film, rather than cut it up.

That's not make-up in this picture. It's CGI. Same FX were used on Arnold for the Terminator films.
