A couple of classic journey live tracks I had hidden away...

This whole thing with Arnel is cool...and I'll give him his credit...he tears the hell out of the classic journey songs, and does a wicked job...but sometimes you just want the real thing...and I'm attempting to recover from a pretty serious multi-drive crash (Lost 2.5 TB of music...DOH!) and was going through my backup discs and found these little gems. So I ran them through Audition and cleaned them up a little...and voila....now I get to share!

Edge of the Blade - Live Philadelphia 1983
Rubicon - Live Japan 1983

And for those of you interested, The first one, the philly performance, will be featured in the next Venom Nation on May 17. Special thanks to KQLZ's "Rock" for the hook-up on that clean-up!

Enjoy!

Thanks for the links man.....

I wonder why is Edge Of the Blade so damn fast ? I hated when they did this. Always pissed me off when they played Wheel in the Sky at crackhead speeds.

Perry's voice sounds tired here to me on EOTB. He is pushing as softly as possible to hit those high notes. Maybe this is why the tempo is so fast. Gets the song over quicker so he spends less time singing. Extended guitar solo too I see..
