Just listened to the new soundbytes on the new Harem Scarem album that andrew so kindly posted for our digestion.

One really stupid question...

why the fuck is this band disbanding? Why the fuck is this their last album?

In my humble opinion, this is a band that HAS IT. has NEVER lost it...and knows how to write great songs with great hooks and play them well.

I for one, will be quite sad to hear this will be their last offering.

Andrew, you need to get on the blower with these guys and tell them I said they need to make more records....

Absolutely agree, Frank. HS is a terrific band which gets very little recognition in the US. Possibly the best melodic band in the past 15 years.

It really sucks that these guys are packing it in. This album so far, sounds just as good as Higher and Human Nature.
2008 is getting SO exciting for good hard rock music....too bad these guys wont be around to see 2009.

Andrew, you better call up Hess and Lesperance and tell those fuckers I'm pissed...I'm going to drive up to canada and kick their asses!

Already done several times!

They are just fed up at being stuck ding the (relatively) same thing...fans don't want them to break into anyting new or turn modern, so they'd rather concentrate on production and session work.

Extremely sad. I've loved almost every song from almost every record.

It's a great album....darker and a little heavier...I dig it!

Andrew, do you know a good source for Scarem CDs? I'm having trouble finding copies of Believe and Voice Of Reason.

You can find both on Amazon.com for $20 each.
Happy hunting. :)

The new clips sound terrific. I can hear the darker side of them, but the choruses are as melodic as ever.

Can“t they just reunite every two years and record an album? No strings attached? :p

Better to break up than to do the dumb thing like other bands do and "modernize" their sound, aka "selling out" or playing sucky music.
