Journey's Now Green

This may have already been posted, but if not. I was in Walmart a while ago (brand new store - open a week, the model for all of their future stores) and wandered through the music section to see if they had anything out yet with Journey on it.
On one end cap was GHL for $8.82 and a couple of rows over was Journey Greatest Hits. the GH was in a cardboard type sleeve, shrink wrapped, with a sticker on it that said "First they were platinum, now they are Green". It went on to describe how the packaging was "Green".
Maybe I am cynical, but it looks to me like just another way to package the same old thing and make som "green".
btw - in the CD section by group, the Journey bin was more stocked than usual (7 - 8 different albums, usually only GH or Frontiers in there).

I agree. I was going to purchase some "carbon offsets" for my kid's Christmas stockings this year, but my wife didn't think they would play with them much.

Another cheap and tacky Sony ploy to repackage some of their biggest titles. Ridiculous idea and serves only to make $. Green indeed - the color of MONEY!!!

The latest round of reissued remasters were already in cardboard/digi-pack packaging...have they repackaged them since??

I don't see a matchbook or a quarter wedged in there so your 8-track player must still be working good! Ah the memories!
That could be a new thread...most memorable breaks (from track to track) in a song. There are certain songs that when I hear them, I still wait for the track change mid song.

I remember 8-tracks, but by the time I was buying music, it was all about casettes. Actually, I would almost always buy albums and tape them. I am sure most of you did, too. And spend hours making mix tapes. Hard rock, soft rock, best of Journey, best of VH...

Nobody answered my question...
Are these new "green" packages something other than the last batch of reissues which were already in digi-packs?

Oh, you expected us to stay on topic? You must be new here.
I don't know the answer, but I suspect you are right.

Speaking of green...I was in the post office the other day and noticed you can take these little plastic bags and recycle your old ink jet cartridges, cell phones, small electronics. You just put them in the bag and drop them into a mailbox (free postage, of course). Maybe, this has been out for a while since I haven't been in a post office since Christmas.

It's alright. I imagine Wal-Mart will seriously start phasing out CD's altogether in another year or two anyway.

I thought of that too. Probably just slapped a sticker on the reissues.
