Haven't heard his new cd yet. But I saw him for the "Neighbours" tour and the whole arena was jumping. Electric show! Songs like "House Arrest" had the place rocking.

On right now - singing with the 6 male finalists (who all pretty much suck singing BA songs, except David Cook and the guy in my av, of course!) Pretty lame all around (and I am a BA fan).

Who do you guys think will win? I really hope it's David Cook! If so, you will be seeing him on the same Ellen show with Journey on 5/28!

I like BA, and that was indeed kinda lame.

Now up - David Cook singing Sharp Dressed Man with ZZ Top. I tell ya' - this guy should be the winner but I don't think that will happen.

Granted..tonight's show is my first time watching..well catching just the stars that are on..but I think David Cook sounds to much like the lead singer from Nickelback..


Journey could have been on this easily..it's not so lame anymore to be on this show..really quiet a lineup tonight..still don't get the hype on BA..not that great of a voice..

Again..Journey..new album..lots of hype right now..AI final a big deal anymore..wow..close to 100 million voted..anyway..Journey could have so well/easily done this show tonight..so many of their songs..as always..can fit into anything..this really would have been tops for an appearance for them..whatever you think of this show..and I am not a follower..but this is the number one show..

The David who is singing right now..never heard him before tonight..he has a real pure voice..he should win..he could have sang a Journey song with Arnel..

Well maybe he'll get to do that if the winner is going to be on Ellen the same day! (I think someone said that earlier in the thread). I agree the young David is very talented - too much of a ballad singer for me and just not my preference but I think he'll do well.

Plus..this is a great classic song..

Say what you want about George Michael..but.. Praying For Time..great song..my favorite by him and one of my fav all time songs..that song is who he really is and where his heart/soul is..not that pop stuff..

I'm only going off of what I saw tonight because that's all I have seen..I am not thrilled who won..but wow..like 97 million voted and he won by 12 million..

George Michael is AMAZING. Probably one of the top five best pop singers in all of history.

Echh...I was working on PC while Bryan Adams was on....Truly a snoozerino. I respect the guy's accomplishments, but I personally think he's WAY overrated, as are most things from Pop Culture icons** (Bryan Adams, Celine Dion, Mike Myers) from Canada. I just don't see how there's anything to get excited about. He really didn't start to irk me until the "The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You" video, where he had eyeliner on and acted like Linda Evangelista. WTF!?
