First it was Be Good To Yourself, then it was that shitty Soto/Schon song, and now it's Beverly Hills 90210? What's next...the fucking theme song from Captain Underpants?

I like Richard Marx. That being said, aren't you the one that admitted to liking Barry Manilow?

Correct, but, but, but, I know Barry Manilow's light in the loafers. Besides, Manilow is 10X the artist Marx is. Ole Dicky Marx been around lately? Maybe he can open for Journey. lol...John Parr. I thought that guy was dead...literally.

To show I'm a fair person, I will admit this story. I had a girl at work listen to Never Walk Away (youtube) and asked her what she thought. She's a little younger and doesn't really know who Journey is, so I thought it would be a good independent opinion of the song. When she heard the opening solo, she did say, "Is this 90210." I laughed. I will admit, that is the only flaw in the song to me. I don't like the sound of Neal's guitar in that part. Hopefully, the CD sounds better. But, she did say the song was good after that. Sorry Neal.

The very first time I ever heard the theme song of 90210 I thought to myself that it sounded like something Neal would play.

Anyone remember the late night tv show "Up All Night" that used to air on Friday and Saturday nights on the USA Network? They would show b-movies.

Anyway, the guitar playing in the theme music that they used on Friday nights always reminded me of something Neal would play too. It also sort of reminded me of Joe Satriani's playing.

I used to LOVE that show. Actually, hated it at first until a girl I was dating got me hooked on it, then I never missed an episode for last several seasons. Did you know there is a new 90210 spinoff coming out soon? Just saw a teaser for it the other day, and here is some info:

A second spinoff from the show, focusing on a West Beverly graduate who returns to the school to become the new principal, is slated to debut sometime in 2008 on the CW network. This new series is named "90210" removing the "Beverly Hills" from the name to distance itself from the previous incarnation.

Lori Loughlin has already been placed on contract as a regular cast member, and it is known that Jennie Garth will reprise the role of Kelly Taylor. Ian Ziering is lobbying to return as Steve Sanders. According to a CW press release on May 27th, Tori Spelling will make a comeback as well. Her character Donna Martin will own a boutique in Beverly Hills.

Jennie Garth, did you say?

I'm just giving 13 a hard time. And not the type of "hard time" Freddie Mercury might give, either!

Most likely, it will suck -- I don't care for any of the modern youth shows (most of which copied 90210 anyway). But I'll still watch the pilot, and maybe it will grow on me. Read another article that several of the other original stars, maybe including Preistly and Perry (Steve's brother), are hoped to do guest appearances in future episodes. But from this preview, they are making it pretty clear that it's a show about the new cast -- not the old one.
