I had a good day, and just wanted to spread it around. Got paid, did the bills and shopping ( now the money is gone!
). Got a shock at the gas pump!

That's what I did. It really is "just an extra" so I don't want it in the middle of the good stuff. Number it 12 and call it done.

Exactly my problem with a lot of Journey's recent output.
How hard is it to throw a damn hook in there and stop writing about families and/or reminiscing about the past?
Actually, writing a good hook is, in my opinion, the crowning achievement of any musician. If it was easy, everyone could do it and there'd be no bad songs. (I realize this is subjective.)
This is Journey, though...c'mon, make it listenable.
Thanks to everyone who went to the trouble of bringing us this track. I'm glad we got the chance to give our opinon on it.

What you pointed out has been my issue with post Perry Journey ever since Arrival. I didn't say it was a surprise. It's a let down IMO. Bad English never rose to the quality of Journey. The band that made this song is called Journey so I hold them to that standard.
