I really like this song of her's: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qz7vGW2_5c0
The video is disturbing, sad, but it works for the feel of the song. She's very young and whoa! she looks like a real person. :)

She's good. I'm a big Amy Winehouse fan, so I dig the retro 60's thing.

Duffy's another one in that genre who's gonna make some noise.

Wanna check out someone really fun? Give Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings a listen.

Someone else who' I'm into now is Tristan Prettyman. A bit folky, yet very soulful...and hot :P

Rachael Yamagata is very similar to Tristan Prettyman, but her voice is even more seductive. She melts me.

I think its tracks 5 and 11 with the fab blues harp on!

There are so many influences on this album - it's like a banquet! Loads to savour!
Very gospel sounding in parts.
I knew Art would like it!

Hope you do Duncan.
I have the Duffy one, too but I kinda like this one more.
Duffy's voice on Warwick Avenue reminds me a bit of Gabrielle.
All good stuff though.

Oh I wish I could write my own stuff.

Love her voice on Chasing Pavements - but when I checked out some other stuff,,, that little catch thing she does with her voice in CP is even more apparent on the other stuff that I heard. Hate that, personally.

Other than that, I REALLY love her voice, and am hoping for more with less, lol

That Sharon Jones clip was fabulous, Art, thanks!

Quite like the T Prettyman one, too.
