In the BA cover he dirties up his voice but on the Bad English, he's reading from a music stand and doesn't try to sound like Waite at all. Doesn't sound like Perry either.

IMO, his natural delivery is most like Jimi Jamison which explains why his "Search Is Over" is so dead on.

Arnel sings "The Search Is Over" the second best I've ever heard, only JJ does it better. In fairness Dave Bickler does do a great job on it too.

Arnel would have been great in Survivor, too.

I do like Robin McCauley's singing in MSG, and I think he does a better job on Survivor's songs than most people give him credit for. But yeah, Arnel would have been a much better fit for Survivor than McCauley is.

I agree that Arnel would be a better fit. But McCauley is a big fan of Survivor music, especially for the EOTT record and Premonition. If we're looking for a harder sound McCauley would be best.

Just think, if the Jboys don't do right by AP, Survivor might scoop him up. I highly doubt they'll screw this one up though.

AP's their ticket to publicity and maybe a resurgence.
