Or maybe you have.

They pressed Revelation on piece of shit discs.

I bought the set, 730 am day of release. The new stuff disc skipped in the car from day one.

I know, I know, your stereo's shitty. Possibly. But nothing else I own skips, and I TRIED to get something else to.

Took it back, got another. Same fucking problem.

Anyone else seen this yet?

I got 3....

And they all play perfectly with no issues WHATSOEVER.

Maybe your wallyworld got a bad batch?

I've had no problems. It's possible there was production issues across a batch of disks and you happened across that batch.

No Problems for me and I play it a lot.

One of the three I bought didn't come with the booklet of lyrics and credits...everything else has been fine though

I've had problems with the DVD. The picture looked like one of those scrambled cable channels. I took the disc out and put it back in the player and it worked just fine. I know it wasn't the player because I've only had it since Christmas and every DVD I've played in the player has worked perfectly.

No problems here with anything... I'm just shocked as hell they put this bitch on an 8-panel digipak and still managed to sell it for $11.88.

There's a part of the DVD that goes a sort of electric purple for a brief moment. Initially, I thought I was having an acid flashback, but I rewound it and it did it again. Took it out, cleaned it and it stopped. :? Also, my computer cannot play the CD's. However, after ripping them they played fine, but if I put the CD's alone and play them off of the media player they skip...both of them. :?

The smartest thing to do is burn a copy or two of all three discs immediately.

That's weird! :?

I haven't tried playing the CDs in the computer except for ripping Revelation (CD 2 is a waste of my time.)

The video production on the DVD sucked. I mean really sucked. Camera's bouncing around, zooming in and out, (or edited that way) and not necessarily on anyone or anything in particular. I don't know how much of that was due to lousy editing, but I've seen better production on cheap local TV shows.

Didn't they watch this baby before it was released?

Another thing that bugged me was the lack of closeups on Neal's finger work. Arnel is no prize in the looks department, (no offense meant) and I know he's the frontman, but Neal should be the focus of the band's video now.

Nothing skipped for me on the CD's. The re-records didn't spend much time spinning in my player, though.

The only gripe I have is the DVD is not synched exactly right. I know that was an issue Kevin Shirley talked about in an interview that he spent hours trying to synch it, but mine is off a fraction of a second. It gives it almost a feel like they're not really playing it...you know how you can tell sometimes when a band on TV isn't really playing...a la Def Lep on DWTS.

forgive if this has already been mentioned, but on song number # 9, What It takes to Win, there is
a high pitched computer tone at one point, like there is interference-does anyone else hear that on their copy?

If you're referring to the 1:56 mark in the song, I believe that's feedback from Neal taming his savage beast of a guitar... :)

Im quite positive that they cut cost corners somewhere. It *might* not be in the production of the discs themselves, but they most certainly avoided some costs somewhere in order to release a tripple disc package at a 12 dollar price point.

I'd be curious to see how it plays out...

I'm having problems too. I thought it was my player until I had problems in the car as well. I actually am getting a little static sound in places. DVD playing a little rough too.

Good thing WalMart has a good exchange policy.

I've honestly crunched some numbers (bored), and though I imagine Wal-Mart has outsourced printers/disc makers/assembly/etc... I just wanted to see ballpark what it would cost to run it per unit using figures I work with everyday. Since I can only go from eyeballing the packaging and discs I'm doing my best to guess what was done here... I could be wrong. Plus, I don't know if the DVD is a regular DVD-5 or a DVD-9.

Digipack
*Using pricing grid for highest quantity (100M) for a printing company in Canada*
8 Panel w/ clear tray: $425/M (M = thousand)
UV/Matte coating: $33/M
4cp, 4/4: $56/M
Pocket: $33/M
Total: $547/M... adding typical mark-up for production company's profit... Per Unit: $1.12

CD Replication
*Quantity Unknown, using average base of $0.30/ea for runs of 100M*
Special Inks (pantome... I know that's not CMYK) and/or possibly off-set printing (it looks offset to me): add'l $0.15/ea
Approx per unit: $0.45 @ 2-discs = $0.90

DVD Replication
*Again, unknown quantity, using base of $0.44/ea for runs of 100M and same ink printing*
Approx per unit: $0.59

Booklet
I can't remember how many pages there were, so we'll go with a traditional 4 sheet 4/4, total 8pg booklet.
8pp: $232/M
IF add'l PMS colors were used: $150/color
Approx total per unit, including mark-up: $0.81

Assembly
Inserting discs to digipak, inserting booklet, shrinkwrapping: $0.15

...So before you even add in freight, the product production alone is over $3.50... and this is a severe low-ball price. IMO, this thing was probably near $4.50/unit. $11.88 less (guess) $4.00 = $7.88 to split between everybody else who wants money/profit/fees/taxes/legals... IDK. I hope it was a good deal for the guys. As I said before... Wal-Mart almost HAS to do their own production of the product to really turn a GOOD profit on this.

The sound's the shits on the DVD...you either can't hear the vocals, or cant hear Neal. Neither of which are acceptable. Las Vegas blows this out of the water.
