This is the best shape the band's been in since about 1983.

I wish him well as I do all the band members, excellent to read of your excitement journeybabe.
Would be cool if I felt as much..............I'm not there at this time.

In God's goodliness I have not the first right to sling stones at anyone......however......
I'll be honest in my humble hen peck .....
I still have performance plagues with Mr Pineda.
I'm finding that when I watch anything of him filmed for this that or the other, it's flimsy.
(not his voice, the portrayal)
That said.....I do hold hopes that he will either get more comfy
or start slaying the songs instead of staging them.

Throwing things at people is a fun past time, and a good cardiovascular work out. Instead of stones, start of smaller, use marshmallows and leprechauns. Work your way up until you feel more comfortable. Perhaps even a pebble. ...Hussy. :)

Yes I have the new release, Hubby got all fuckered up in my back talk times (as in past reference, not the website) about the recent troubles.
Augeri, JSS, Hunsicker, Pineda and the possibility of a new Perry release.

How could I tell him? "I'm sorry Sweetie but you weren't paying attention, I had NO interest in having this cd"
I did throw my thoughts to him again later as a reminder but I was touched that he even thought to pick it up for
me, it was sap like sweet.
Trust me folks when I say that my beloved one is the ass end of attention where I'm concerned.
This time he wasn't and I was touched.

Is someone gonna do a screenshot of the Billboard list and post it here for posterity's sake?

I'm too lazy for it. I have my cat, too. :D

Revelation is also #2 in Billboard's Top Internet Album. Can anyone explain the difference between these two (Top Internet and Top Independent Album)?

Wow!

To be honest, I was skeptical they'd pull it off ... Walmart certainly has clout as a distributor ... wonder how many more artists are gonna wander their way. Better deals, better promotion and (ultimately) better sales.

Alice Cooper was touting the new album last night on his show. :)

Certainly a good start for Journey, but let's also remember Trial By Fire had a great start as well and twice as much radio airplay, no Wal-Mart marketing the way Revelation has been marketed, and no tour.

The proof in the pudding will come in the next few weeks to see what happens with Journey on the official charts and how well their records continue to sell. There were several fans who purchased as much as 10 CDs a piece, so certainly I'd expect the sales to drop off unless there is a huge promotion of the new record on radio. By the way, I have still yet to hear any of the new songs on radio.

I'm intrigued by that new Cooper album AJM mentioned on the front page.

Just got his Extended Versions (live from the Trash tour) it's phenomenal.

Congratulations - well deserved. I was just watching JUMP START videos on VH1 (the regular, not classic) and they always list the 5 top selling albums in between videos...and, there's Journey listed at #5. :) It's really strange to see that...but, obviously good.

How much independent recording competition did they have?

That is a damn good question. I'd say it was an all out war. The competition was furious and Journey come out in front after a bloodbath. That's what I'd like to say. :D

Anyone who thought this band was dead may want to put the funeral plans on hold...seems like we found quite the heartbeat!!!!!

How much of the competition had WalMart selling and promoting their album?
