Isn't the end of the Mayan calendar supposed to end in 2012? Maybe the world is coming to an end.

Yes the Mayan calendar ends on 12/21/12 (Dec,21, 2012). Many claim the Mayan calendar has been the most accurate in the world. They claim this is the day the world ends

That date Coincides with the final days of the next presidents term ( wont say 1st term, becuase evidently, ther won't be a 2nd term.

I'd say choose extra carefully, but if this is true, whoever we elect in November will have been a very poor choice !!!!

Absolute bull. There is no possible way this could happen in the magnitude they are talking about. Even if the major ISPs do decide to try something this stupid, there will always be a countermarket, new services will pop up that will allow everything to be as it was, even if it is without these corporations. Then comes the pirates that take the content from these same corporations and supply it one way or another to the new breed that is outside the mainstream ISPs.

IMO, this will never come to pass in any capacity. If by some slim chance it does.....MASSIVE FAIL on their part.

Hmm - well this news bit from the major wires - doesn't bode well.

Looks like serious caps on high bandwidth usage is in the works

My girlfriend just called a few days ago to tell
me that she got a call from here internet provider saying
she went over her bandwidth and they were gonna charge her more.
We have the same carrier and she wanted to know if they had called me to.....nope.
I had never heard of this before.

I'll be kissing the internet goodbye if they start charging more for less.

Went over her bandwidth? I don't think that's possible, and definitely not controllable by an end-user... LOL! Maybe she misunderstood, and she went over her cell minutes or online storage limitation or something.
