I would suspect most hardcore NFL fans have at least heard of him, but maybe not many others.

good announcer, Iremember him from the NFL, but sounds like he was also very versatile............RIP

He used to do alot of the late games on NBC. And being a Raiders fan I remember him well. He was a pretty good play by play guy.

I haven't like this guy since 1986, when he called Otis Wilson a cheap shot artist for the hit he put on Louis Lipps. Da Coach wasn't too happy about it.

But this was back in 1986, pre-heart attack. He could still get it up.
