Hello? Augeri?

I've been away, so forgive me if this has been covered recently. I haven't heard anything about Augeri's album OR Tall Stories 2. Weren't BOTH of these supposed to be out last December?

I seem to recall someone seeing him at a small gig and said he sounded good, so what's the problem? Does he not have the backing to hit the studio? Is the Tall Stories 2 material not good enough? Does he not have enough material for a solo album? Does he think (realize?) that the return on his investment won't be worth the effort?

Does anyone KNOW? Has anyone (Andrew?) heard from anyone reliable?

Just curious.

He sang a Christmas song last December at some function and sounded damn good.

His album is supposedly in the works.

Glad to see he is out performing.

I have heard "His album is in the works" for nearly a year now. Is he really in the studio, or is he just enjoying performing?

I would be curious to hear what his new material sounds like - as long as it is NOTHING like that crap on Generations.

No idea about the solo album, but Tall Stories is recieveing a few modifications to the master. Apparently the guys weren't 100% happy in how it sounded, so some tweaking is happening now.

Release still a little time off, but I'd say definitely in 2008.

Sweet! Will be nice to meet you! No gold dragon shirt, but I ought to bring it to auction off for the event... haha! And actually, I've been enquiring as to whether to wear a suit or a tux. Don't want to bother with a tux unless I'll be the only one not wearing one. I'm hearing so far that a suit should be fine. What are you wearing?

Why are you baiting, and fucking with Steve Augeri? You ve made it clear you dont like what he did with Journey before. You ve havent been here for a month, and you post this WTF?? Why dont you comment on the new stuff, instead of insulting him. All the concerts he has done with Journey,he doesnt owe anybody a fucking note, when he does, that his business. I was quoting Knox by the way, sorry

A suit will be just fine. I think that's what most of the guys will be wearing. My son and I will be there too. He played the piano at Butch and Val's wedding. We're looking forward to seeing them and everyone else too.

By the way, if anyone is coming into town for the Journey to the Cure benefit next month and wants a hotel closer to the club and much cheaper than what Schaumburg has to offer, feel free to PM me, and I'll gladly give you information on good hotels nearerby. :)

Awesome... Please keep in touch, too, so we can say hello at the event. I'm really excited about how well this is shaping up.

I hope that JTTC does great this year! All of you who are going will have to tell your stories of that night. That will be good reading! :D

How many are going anyway? In the original thread, only the 3 of us (me, Rhi, and BJG) replied I think. But I'm finding several more intending on being there. We were really starting to think we'd need to bring the party with us!

Well Rip, I don't know who is actually going to JTTC, so I just put "All of you who are going" instead to cover it.

Defensive much? Funny how everyone else simply answered the questions and you are the only one with the problem . Although, just for you, I will let it be known that I laughed at the "Been doing that for years" comment.

If you had been keeping up with my posts like you THINK you have, you would know that I want Augeri to do well just to stick it to Journey (who I don't care for anymore except for the Perry era).

Thanks for the laughs, though. You started my morning off with some fun :D

Now lighten up - it's just the internet

I can assure you that I know of at least 2 stalkers that wouldn't miss seeing The Wiggler even if it meant getting a meal that wasn't Super-Sized for once.

Don't give me too much credit.
If you'd not left your window cracked, that would have been a much worse situation.
I probably would have been putting a size 7 1/2 giraffe shoe through that window.

I think I met you in Vegas, but I'm not entirely sure...there was a problem with some rum...

I know of at least one guy going the tux route, but I think most will be in suits. Sparkly cocktail dress here...gals will probably do everything from barely-theres to ballgowns. :D

I usually make an impression that cuts straight thru the rum, so we may not have met... LOL! j/k...

Send the "barely theres" to round out our table, por favor!

Could you give this shtick a rest, please? A lot of really cool people from this board and the official one will be there; has potential to be a seriously good time--sort of Vegas continued...or Vegas in better clothes :D

I will be there with several friends, but none from any of the Journey boards. I know quite a few from BT are going as well. It will be fun to see some old friends and meet some new ones.
