I can't even comment on how outraged I am after reading this and the description of what this girl went through...

If that were my daughter, he'd be dead by now. With any luck he'll get what he deserves in prison.
Sorry, but I have zero, and I mean ZERO tolerance for this animal.

As the parent of an 8-year-old girl, the man would not have lived to stand trial if that were my daughter. The only way I wouldn't kill him would be if my husband got to him first.

I think it should be punished by death. They always do it again, and they not only damage a child, but the same behavior is sometimes then perpetuated by the victim later in life.

Waterboarding.

That was hard to read. I can't even imagine what it must feel like to be a child inflicted with that kind of violent inhumanity by someone who you trust to love and protect you.
If that were my daughter, he'd have been dead long ago.

I know what story that link is to, but I can't read it. Having three daughters, I just don't want to think about that ever happening. I would end up on death row because I could kill someone for harming my girls.

Couldn't get through the text.
Is the little girl physically OK now?

I didn't read the whole thing, either. I literally teared up as I read it and couldn't finish.

Ditto. Face flushed hot with anger. I've said this before, and it bears repeating... there is a special place reserved in hell for people like him.

I can read a lot of gory stuff, I'm even an avid reader about serial killers, but I can't read much that has to do with girls being hurt, especially young ones.

Ugh. Hopefully some higher power shall dole out justice as seen fit, seeing as justice on this earth seems severely lacking at times.

Same here...I can't imagine the anguish I would feel as a parent if someone did that to my daughter.

Thirty one years ago, 3 Girl Scouts were murdered in Oklahoma. One of the girls was the big sister to a friend of my family. To this day, the murder goes unsolved. Three weeks ago, two 13 year old girls were murdered in Oklahoma. Still unsolved.
I have children, girls and boys, and can not imagine the pain the children and these families go through. I know that there is a judgement day, however, and ALL things will be accounted for. We may not know fully what happened or see justice in this life, but the day is coming.

Knowing everything I know, I wouldn't even bother with the justice system. This ruling is just the tip of the ice berg. Soon, rape of a child won't even be a crime.

This happened here in Baton Rouge at the airport back in the 1983:

I know many parents that feel, and would probably do, the same...

I remember that. While it may not be the legal thing to do, the courts sure made it loud and clear it was understandable.

Child rape takes a life as surely as murder does...and should be punished accordingly.
