Anyone feel proud about Journey?

Postby youkeepmewaiting » Sat Jun 28, 2008 1:27 am

It's strange. The amount of people I have been telling that Journey was in the charts in America, and even made a slighty (very very very slight <you have to look to find it> )ripple over here across the pond.

I'm really proud to be a Journey fan, that a band like that has become known again (if only for a little while).

I wouldnt have this same feeling about many other bands that I can think of.

Yep, very much so. For all the wrongs they've perpetrated in the last few years, they're definitely making up for it now. Give a virtually unknown singer from another country the chance of a lifetime, and he's proving it to be a great decision. Soto would have been my first choice, but since that couldn't be, I'm great with the way things are now. They seem to be doing everything right for once.

His given them more publicity then they could have gotten with a singer from the US,and they are milkin it. That is nothing to be proud of. They are doing there job and trying to make as much$$$ as they can,as always. People do that everyday, dosent make them special Im proud to be a fan of there music, but not the band.If I was stranded in the desert and the tour bus was comin up, Id bet ya 3 to 1 the fucker would zoom right on by. Friga likes to drive the bus sometimes, makes him feel like a man HA

I apologize then. I respect that you have differences with their actions, but will see them once for the sake of the music. You're an all right dude. 8) I'll tell Friga to look out for you...he wants to give you a hug. :P

Be proud of your personal achievements, your family, your friends, the excellent meal that you made, the size of your junk...but leave it at the door when you are not creatively responsible for the success of a band!

No :!:

Its kinda like a sports fan that says "oh WE gonna to beat the Crimson Tide (or the cavaliers /cubs/ cowboys - whatever ) this week , cause its a big game for US and WE'RE reeally playing great . "

I always tell those fans Fuck Off, YOU aint on the team, yer just the stinkin talentless, fan with a huge ass beer gut who buys the bubble gum cards, and who would get stuffed for a five yard loss and fumble if you were allowed onto the field of play

Yes I've bought all the Journey buble gum packs and if they came out with one of them Journey foam hands with the big ass finger making the number one sign, it probably buy that too, but I am not Journey, and I aint proud . I just buy the shit and listen to it!

In a word, no.
These people are not our friends.
Be content to enjoy the music, and channel whatever emotional attachements you may have onto a band more deserving (or better yet, go hug grandma).
