Journey - best band on this planet

Postby Gordon from Edinburgh » Sat Jun 28, 2008 10:50 am

Regardless of which line up we liked the best - the pulling power of this band is amazing. The love/hate/passion/arguments/fights they have inspired can surely be matched by no other band.????
No matter what version you are "lit up" by - i just want to say - thank GOD they existed/exist and gave/ give me/us thrills joy and heart wrenching moments of pleasure. I know this sounds lame - but did you ever think what life would be like if this truly celestial band had never been around. I'm thankful for the ride and for the pleasure and wit and wisdom of all you lovely fuckers out there - who i will never meet but feel i know a little bit. This band has something, a genuine X factor that no other band has. Hope you all have a shit-hot weekend - every last one of you. All the best Mr folks - you fucking rule.

Journey is the one single band I have enjoyed over the years. ( I was going to say "After All These Years" but too cheesey). I've enjoyed every incarnation of the band, the music is just flat out enjoyable. At least as long as Neal Schon is still playing. :D

The best self destructive band that's pulled an ACE out of their sleeve's 3 times to keep from going busted. Yeah, that's the Jboys.

'78 when about to be axed, Perry, 'nuff said
'96 they regroup and get nominated for a Grammy
'08 , 2008! They put out another best selling album

It's amazing to see them resurrect this year. The only other bands with this longevity is REO, Rush, Stones and Eagles. Rush I'd say is the closest to having this loyal a fan base.
