Has anyone heard how he has been doing lately? I know he was real sick there for a while and The Outfield was shut down temporarily. Anyone know if hes better now and if we may expect anything new from The Outfield soon? By the way, anyone pick up the last CD, Anytime Now? What did ya think about it? I was actually very impressed by it, it exceeded my expectations.

Dear god this damn near gave me a heart attack!!

John is doing quite well, there was some news posted on the unofficial Outfield website,

www.outfieldfanzone.com

If thats not the link, just google "outfieldfanzone" and you'll find it.

Sounds like new things are in the works for one of the most under rated bands of the 80s!

I really dug Any Time Now, and I'm a HUGE Outfield fan, but I haven't heard anything new on Spinks' health.

DEFINITELY UNDERRATED. Everyone knows "Your Love" but couldn't tell you who did it. Play Deep is a GREAT album, so were Bangin' and Voices of Babylon.

Play Deep was one of the best albums of the 80's, from beginning to end. 61 Seconds, Everytime you cry, Mystery Man still tunes I listen to and werent even hits! Everytime you cry was a modest hit but not like Your love and All the love in the world. Bangin' was a great album. Jodes, thanks for this link. I keep tabs on theoutfield.com but it doesnt update very often. I'd have to say these guys are my 2nd favorite band behind the guys from San Francisco. I hope John makes a full recovery and they can get back out. It was a shame they couldnt tour for Any Time Now. Another show I'd have tickets for.
