Here are my photos from the show on Saturday night in Newcastle.

The band got a fantastic reception for their final show on the Euro tour, and it was a great way to see the guys off from these shores. I'm really pleased with the way some of these images came out too.

Spectacular pics......especially of Neal

Have not checked, is there some audio and/or reviews of the show available??

Thanks Marty

Anyone notice that Neal is starting to look like James Caan?

My thoughts exactly. I thought Sonny Corleone learned how to play the guitar before being shot at the Turnpike.

Superb! You're the M-A-N, Marty! Personally, viewing your photos is the most worthwhile time I spend in this forum (sorry, other posters!). The REAL time, effort, and total work you've spent following Journey concerts---to give us these high-quality images--- are highly-appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

Great pics Marty. Friga still looks gay holding a guitar. I miss seeing The Whale, it really added color to the stage

On the contrary, the security at the venue could not have been nicer to me. I spoke to them as soon as I got there and confirmed I'd be shooting the whole show, with the approval of the band. They checked and from then on they allowed me to go anywhere. At least two of the security guys at the front (a guy and a girl actually) were Journey fans and were really looking forward to the show. The girl was bopping along with the audience by the end of the show.

By the way, here’s a great shot of me in action at the Newcastle show, taken by a friend in the front row, behind me.

The stage wasn’t really that high - I think I was on my knees at this point, trying not to get in the way of anybody behind me but having nowhere to sit in the photo pit.
