Steve Perry's feelings on Journey chart success

How do you think Steve Perry feels about Journey's newfound chart success? Since Steve's Departure (ouch) from the band, Journey have toured relentlessy, usually attracting decent attendance figures, and have regained a decent foothold in Europe. However, Journey has pretty much flown under the radar in terms of American chart success, until now. Steve has, at times, has also made some less than flattering remarks about his ex - bandmate's efforts to carry the torch without him - mentioning the hiring of 'sound - alike' singers and stating that he does not know the names of the singers who have fronted the band since he left. He must surely know the name of Arnel at his point. I remember reading an article, just after TBF was released, in which Steve was quoted as saying something along the lines of 'when I got the call that the album had gone into the charts at number 3, I was jumping for joy around my office.' Now, for the first time, Steve is seeing Journey riding high in the Billboard charts, without him at the helm. How do you suppose he feels about this - envious? Indifferent? Happy for Neal and co? Discuss.
