AC/DC New Release?

I saw on the front page that AC/DC is releasing a new CD in October. My question is, it saids released by Columbia Records. Didn't AC/DC just sign a deal with Walmart? Does Columbia have a deal with Walmart or is it just a mistake in the press release?

Don't know how reliable, but.........

On June 9, 2008, The Wall Street Journal reported that the band's new album would be sold exclusively through WalMart stores in the United States. "Veteran rockers AC/DC are set to become the next major band to sell a new album only through Wal-Mart Stores Inc., according to people familiar with the matter."[62] In a follow-up report, Reuters reported the album was expected to be released in the Northern Fall (Sep-Nov) of 2008.[63]

Columbia did a deal with WalMart and AC/DC for this release in North America.

Outside USA it is Columbia in general CD stores as usual.

I'll bet anyone $100 that Journey outsells AC/DC in 2008, by a two-to-one margin.

AC/DC is reportedly looking to go out on a world tour later this year to support its upcoming album. The news was posted on the fan site Electric Shock, but nothing has been announced just yet. What seems to be definite is the release of AC/DC's new set, tentatively titled Black Ice, which is due out October 28th. Billboard.com reports that the set will be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart, and the first single, "Runaway Train," is expected out next month.

Oh and thanks for the laugh, 7 wishes...that was funny.
