It's official...the Philadelphia Spectrum will be closing up for good.

Many good memories there (including a few great Journey shows).

My friend sent me that ... I saw (guessing) 20 - 30 concerts there over the years (not to mention some Sixers and Flyers games). Definitely the end of an era.

Here's a cool remembrance link, which has all of their previous events posted, along with pictures of various tix stubs and back stage passes.

I practically grew up in that building. I'm not taking this well at all.

I can still remember Steve Perry asking if anyone had a joint during the segway into "Stone in Love" :D . Great memories watching Bobby Clarke along with Bernie Parent and the Broad Street Bullies beating their way to a Stanley cup, and Dr. J with Moses Malone sweeping the Lakers.

Just think of all those athletes whom the good people of Philadelphia so graciously welcomed with beer bottles, D batteries, and urine cups. You know their hearts are breaking now.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Your Signature reminds me of the Slogan Frank Rizzo used when running for mayor on a get tough on crime platform.

AH, Frank Rizzo, need more like him today with the crime rate soaring....
Miss Philly and the good food and friends
Family all still live there...
