Very cool to see all the Hall of Famers and former all stars.
However, I HATE HATE HATE Joe Buck with a passion. He hates every team from Minnesota and totally dissed Justin Morneau. He just introduced him tonight by name, but when Josh Hamilton came up, "Last nights hero".....
Fuck you Buck...you dirt bag. I hope you get a baseball to the forehead.

Dude I LOVED seeing all of those hall of famers.
Yogi Berra brought a bit of a tear to my eye, not gonna lie.
I met Bob Feller once about ten years ago. He was a true gentleman and very talkative, very upbeat for his age. Glad to see him still pluggin' along, a GREAT man indeed.

The Twins caravan comes through our city every spring and since one of our am station is a Twins afflilate, they always stop at the radio station. Over the years, I've got to meet some great players, past and present: Tony Oliva, Joe Mauer, Kirby Puckett and Doug Mientkiewicz(his rookie year). Harmon Killebrew was here one year. He is a great guy. My brother told him about how on his honeymoon, my sister in law let him stop in Cooperstown. Harmon told him to hang on to her, she was a keeper.

Look, most fans in cities with successful sports franchises are assholes. Philadelphia being the exception to the rule.
This also explains why everyone loves people from Cleveland, who are generally the most polite fans in the country, with the exception of that Journey/Survivor fanatic.

In regards to Yankee fans booing the Red Sox players, as a New York Yankee fan who goes to college in Connecticut (where there is even representation of Yankee & Boston fans), I can say for sure, they give us the business too in many ways (especially in recent years). In a similar sense, the Super Bowl really got many of those fans running on all cylinders (until the outcome).
What I am trying to say is, from what I have seen, the hatred is mutual. But I have noticed that, for the most part, Yankee fans will bust chops (like typical New Yorkers), but oftentimes, Boston fans just seem to get vicious.
Of course, though, thankfully, for all of us, it is just a game, that really should not change our lives too much.

I can't stand Joe Buck either...Total tool....But to be fair, everyone on ESPN, USA Today, SI.com and on down the line said the same thing....Morneau may have won, but Hamilton will be what everyone remembers.
I'll say this...Justin handled it with a lot of class.

WOW what a game, i lasted through 13 before i finally fell asleep i think it was 1245A. THe defense was fantastic I felt for that 2nd baseman for the NL UGGLA?
GLAD the AL won...and ANGIE the rest of the country has dissed the twins since 1970s. The teams that won the series in 87 and 91 were largely ignored...
If the White Sox were not so good i would think the Twins would win their division this year.

Made it through the whole game!! Yeah AL! Found it totally hilarious a Boston Red Sox got MVP in Yankee Stadium! HA! As long as it wasn't Manny...can't stand him either. See, what we need is a big boat with a large hole and a big rock. Make room in there for Manny, Jeter, A-hole Rod, Steinbrenner, Joe Buck....and Brett Favre.

I skipped playing fantasy football last year but finished in the top of my leagues the previous two years without paying much attention at all to preseason.

There's always the schlub at the draft who thinks they are getting a steal, only to find out their player is out for the season.

August 3 will be a great day for Skins fans, with Art Monk and Darrell Green being inducted in the HOF. I used to go to almost every game from 1982-1992. Four SB appearances, three SB wins. What a great time to be a Skins fan.

Those were two of my favorite players. I loved the Redskins in the 80's until they eliminated the Bears from the playoff in '86 and '87. But, if it had to be anybody, I guess it was best it was them. Art Monk is long overdue in the HOF. He was the best of the bunch.
