RE/MAX Beatdown on Rip Rokken!

Whoa! Logged into my e-mail account to find 12 messages awaiting me from YouTube! Turns out RE/MAX themselves complained of "copyright infringement" and had them yanked! I guess they found me because my 12 little vids from Arnel's first true U.S. gig at their private convention in Vegas all had "RE/MAX" in the title... A-HOLES!!! What the hell could those hurt?

Now interestingly, they've been sitting there since March without incident until my little exchange with anti-Arnel commando "jimmmytt" 2 days ago. Hmm.... Wildone (aka "jimmmytt"), you wouldn't have anything to do with this, would ya? Those little videos are some of the ONLY footage online from that gig.

A lot of the large corporations don't want publicized that they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on these type events including travel, entertainment, etc. Tough to explain when you have to lay people off.

ALso, many of the entertainers don't want it out that they are doing private gigs for cash. Not just bands, but comedians, etc. I know of Jay Leno, Doobie Brothers, Diana Ross, Seinfeld, and others who have done these type of corporate gigs over the years. I saw Dana Carvey at a Staples Manager meeting in Orlando in 1997. He kept referring to Office Depot as Office Despot. Pretty funny guy live.

With the video out there, it confirms the rumors on message boards, etc., so they demand that you pull them down.

Actually, it had nothing to do with you. The point was why Re/Max would care and ask for something to be taken down, regardless of how they came to know it was posted. Besides, if you were on their board, I doubt you would be spending much time hanging out on a Journey message board. :)

None of that is to say that you weren't the one who told Re/Max about Rip's youtube uploads. :)

Just link to them here (sendfiile, etc) and let the masses upload them. Nothing they can do about it. Also, log as in another user when you do so they can't trace it to you here either. ;)

I forgot I even posted this... LOL! I've been busy packing when I should be sleeping. And a public apology to Wildone if this was taken wrong... I just thought it was funny to mention his name again, but I'm sure he had nothing to do with RE/MAX pulling it down. Because when they do that, they pull his stellar, award-winning commentary down as well, and it would defeat the purpose.

It's okay, some of us were there. Some of us didn't even *gasp* pay to get in. Some waltzed in like we owned the joint and used the stage for an armrest in front of Neal. And will never forget it, either. 8)

Bingo.

Was there anything in the videos that indicated anything to do with ReMax other than the youtube title, Rip?
If not I can't see copyright infringement. Its like me tryping the word ReMax in this post... I'm not infringing.

And if it was Rip's beady little eyeball behind the lens, then Rip, indeed, holds the copyright. Now whether it was expressed somewhere in some legally enforcable manner that photography or videography was prohibited, etc etc, that would be another matter. But good lord, we're talking a couple videos on YouTube, let's be real, its nothing to freak out over, especially as they've already been sitting up there for over 4 months. Its not like he's selling them or something. I am calling for yet another collective unclenching.

These avatars of Cain crying make me want to puke !!! Its just so wrong. Please.... A picuture of a fresh turd would be more appealing. Just photoshop the word Cain over top of the fresh, warm pile.. It will suffice and no one will be able to tell the difference.
