There's only a handful of seats left for the New York State Fair show this year (capacity approx 18,000). I've seen them the past three times they've played it (with Night Ranger, Peter Frampton and the Fabulous Thunderbirds opening respectively), and they've never sold over 4000-6000 seats. This band is on a true comeback. It can't all be the triple-bill, as Cheap Trick has been there a few times in the recent past. Journey is clearly selling the lion's share of the tickets.

Well I have 6 tickets to San Antonio, so don't blame that "non-sellout" on me!

Cheap Trick played for FREE at the Cole Muffler Stand at the NYS Fair!
There are still seats for Grandstand 1, so I don't think its that close to selling out....is it?

Should be. Grandstand 1-4 are the "nosebleed" sections, and apparently there's only a small section within 1 that has tickets left. This from someone who works for the Fair in that department. The concert is close to a sellout.

So, many want to see Heart and Cheap Trick. They used to draw much better with a snooze opening act and didn't have a 3 way split !

Heart and Cheap Trick, while great bands in their own right, aren't as legendary as Journey.
Journey's carrying alot of the draw, I'm quite certain... not a knock on the other bands, though.

dont you have a heart? why dont you just donate some of those tickets to those who weren't able to get in the Tucson gig due to ticket shortage.

Last Thursday, Live Nation had a sale on a bunch of shows in Charlotte, including the Journey/Heart/Cheap Trick bill for $10 per lawn seat.
I just went to Ticketmaster, and they still have reserved seats in Sec. 4, Row M.
I don't think Charlotte will sell out.

a lot of times the venue will put the lawn seat on sale to make sure of a large crowd, and a full staff.
cheap trick might sell about 500 tix on thier own, they rock
heart hasnt toured much in the east/midwest to big numbers
so this is journey/ the combo bill selling....

Chicago is offering a "lawn pack." 4 lawn seats for $75. Not as good as the $10 deal, but a heck of a deal nonetheless!!! To be able to sit on the lawn and catch these 3 bands for 10 or 20 bucks is an
awesome deal.

Cincy has the same thing going on. I would've gotten that but I could only find one friend that really wanted to go! Even the ones that said they like Journey are too broke or too apathetic to agree to come... ah well, their loss.
I only really have two friends that could give two shits about the Melodic Rock scene.

Go to Cleveland...

San Antonio offering a lawn deal as well. Good prices, except when you add on the 35 extra charges they add, plus parking, etc., etc., etc. What a racket!

Didn't AngieKay say that Heart would "definitely" be the opening act?
How's that crow, sweetie? Does it taste better than humble pie?

Tried to get my buddy to agree to Cleveland but he didn't "feel" it.
If I can get someone to come to Cleveland with me I'm in there for sure.
