Yes, if it's dry, and it is. We have level Orange pollution watch days lately also.

Since when is heat in Texas news???? Hell, the Texas Rangers don't play a single day game the entire summer because of the insane heat! My favorite line is when someone tells you "it's a dry heat"! Yeah...so is my oven

Whatever, that seems like nothing compared to AZ. Granted...it's a dry-heat

After today, I will never leave my car outside all day, without the shade. If I don't get out of bed by 7:30, fuggit, I'm not going to work, there's no good parking spots left

Really? I've never heard of that. I'm out in the country though. I jumped in the river today to cool off.

Yep, they tell people not to go outside if they have respiratory problems. That's been going on for a good many years here each summer.

You get the fire warnings I guess like we do?

I remember Lackland AFB, my father was stationed at Kelly AFB in the 80's when we lived there. I think Kelly is gone now though.

Yep, we get them more often when it's windy and dry.

Kelly is part of Lackland now I think.

Yeah I think they were basically next to each other if I remember right, lol. I would have finished high school in San Antonio but we got sent to Japan instead, lol.

That's a good one, John!

I will say, that never in my LIFE have I felt heat like a New Orleans summer. For God's sake, you take a shower, dry off , walk outside, and it's like you just showered all over again! 100% humidity do be a bitch!

I agree. I grew up in E. TX near the Louisiana border. I live out here where it's dry now. The dry heat is much easier to take than humid heat, IMO.

Houston is a lot like that as well. We don't have it near as bad around Dallas as a lot of people do.
