OT-Watch The Crue live from Vegas

Postby Angiekay » Thu Jul 24, 2008 1:05 am

Motley Crue will perform a free online concert from the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas on Friday, August 1st, according to Blabbermouth.net. The live event will be available to anyone with broadband Internet access from DeepRockDrive.com, officially launching a series of partnerships with well-known live venues to present concerts to a global audience through the Web. Disturbed played a similar type of event in late May for DeepRockDrive.com, which bills itself as "the world's most popular destination for online, interactive concerts."

Each show at the site features interaction between viewers and the artists, with fans having the ability to send messages to the stage, make song requests, choose camera angles and even create digital applause in real time.
Motley Crue will hit the stage at 9:30 p.m. PT.

I talked to one of the head security guards at Mandalay Bay just this past weekend (long story  ) and he informed me that Journey and Motley Crue were 2 of the fastest groups to ever sell the place out (though I think at the time the Crue show was a near sellout only). The place holds 12,000 and he couldn't believe the demand for Journey, Heart and Cheap Trick tickets especially.

Deeprockdrive.com, why does that site sound familiar? Has somebody posted it before? Thanks Angie, I'm going to try to check the show out. :)

What you mean you don't like the ol' "He...wolf....stain....stage..." treatment? :)
