Have we discussed this?

MP3 player designed like new album with songs preloaded.

Sure have. This thing is going to put sales through the fucking roof. I know people have said that each one of these sold will count as 2 sales but has anyone actually verified that? And no, asking Tito doesn't count as verification.

Yeah, it's been mentioned here several times now. I'm probably going to buy one even though I have the album. I need one to exercise with, and haven't broken down and bought one yet! It'll give me a reason to make the purchase. I also don't mind supporting my favorite band, and it'll up their album sales by 2 with the purchase. I'm proud of them with this album, and I'm glad they're having some great success with it!

Agreed. An MP3 player with 2 pre-loaded albums for $40 is like 2 hookers for 2 hours for $20...not like I'd know a great deal or anything.   :P

Too bad they didn't market a "Revelation" walkman with a preloaded cassette for you SJ.  Either you modernize or your s.o.l.

I still prefer cassettes to CDs, but vinyl over both. I can still remember the day I bought a cassette player for the car that was able to automatically stop at each song. Now that's technology!!!

Sound quality aside. There's much to be said for the ability to carry every song you own with you every day.
You should really try it.

Eff that shiza. I had one. Suck-ass battery life and then corrupted itself. Sonofawhore. Took it back. I'm holding out for the iPhone I'm getting tomorrow. I'll buy this ZVUE, too, but mostly as a keepsake thing.

12 I think. I'll check when I get back home. And it's not like I'm going to put every song from every CD on there anyway.

How long was your battery life?

I'm obsessive and re-charge mine every night, even if it's in the complete green, so I haven't timed and tested its life too much just yet. I'm guessing it'd play for quite some time, I've had it going for five hours at a time before and it only went down one little bar thingy.

FIXED!! Yes, for some reason the album in question was tagged as a compilation.

Thanks to you, and Rick, I believe, for the help.

I think that's actually the worst thing you can do!!! Others would surely know more, though. I remember when I saw one in Best Buy for the first time. I was baffled as to how they got a cassette in such a fucking small device!!!

I have a 60 gig. It really helps if you turn down the brightness of the screen lighting. Also Prog, it's good for pretty much anything rechargable to allow it to completely expend it's energy before recharging it. I try to do it every month with mine. Tough though because I have to charge it when I update it with daily podcasts. :P

You are definitely going to shorten the overall lifespan of the battery if you don't let the battery discharge at least halfway once in awhile.

Good looking out man, thanks, hopefully I haven't completely wrecked my battery's lifespan by doing what I've done for a year now....

Mine randomly does a sort of deejay fade out, fade in between two songs every now and then. My sister's periodically said "disc mode" and froze for a day or two at a time...till she threw it out the car window and ran over it.

I think they all come with a resident teeny tiny little gremlin...
