Was Never Walk Away released as a single to rock radio/Top 40? Did it chart?

They should have released "What I Needed". Much stronger song in my opinion! It is a little long for radio though, maybe they could have edited a radio release?
The artist formerly known as Jim. :-)

Neal said it was #7 on SOME chart (Classic Rock, I think), but I have never been able to find it on ANY chart history.

It was. The chart on his own bedroom wall.
Lately I raise a brow at any sentence that starts with "Neal said".

I agree, which is why the statement was followed with a "but". ;)

Why "Lately"? It's always been this way every time Neal opens his mouth.

Neal has always been very respectful, gracious and flattering when talking about Perry's contributions to the band as far as vocals go.

Who's talking about his references to Perry? J28 (and all long-time Journey diehards) know about Neal's foot-in-mouth syndrome.
