Realizing age.......

Postby Loneman1 » Mon Jul 28, 2008 8:14 pm

I just had my 27th b-day, and it had a really strange feeling attached to it. One gift I received was the new Journey MP3 player from my parents, which I was going to buy myself later on even though I already have "Revelation". But opening this present, I remembered when I first got really into Journey. It was right before the TBF era, probably '94 or so. I had been exposed to Journey through my parents, but the music didn't really catch me until my family left the bay area of CA in '93. Bad timing, I know.

Seeing Arnel live and hearing what he can do in the studio brings back all the excitement of the band being fresh again. My first concert EVER was Journey in Reno, NV 12/31/98 when I actually met Steve and Deen after sneaking into the soundcheck, so that is saying alot!!

But all in all, I have to say, as a fan of ALL the eras of Journey, I love the music. Without talking about any specific time, singer, or era.....Journey's music will always be incredible. 8)
Rock on,
Eric
