When I published slideshows of he Journey shows in the UK, it was a lot of images from a lot of shows and I doubt anybody had the patience to wade through them all. Since then I've had a number of enquiries from people about photos of individual band members etc.

Therefore I thought I'd put together a few small galleries each focussing on an individual band member, allowing me to be very selective and choose my favourite images from the UK tour. Here they are:-

Great photos, Marty.

It's amazing watching these pics of Arnel on stage now, compared to how he looked in those early TY videos of him with the Zoo. What a transformation! The clothing and stage presence ... he's a rock star now! Good for him.

In this one, Neal looks like its from the 80's.

Arnel flies in some of those shots. I'm surprised they're not wooried about him blowin' out an ankle . . .

In the Neal top 50 I love the 2nd picture. It looks like the scarab wings are coming out of his back. so cool. do you sell these Marty?

I'm not selling them at the moment, although it is something I'm considering, and will have to consult with Journey's management about it. Meanwhile, I have had a lot of people contact me directly about obtaining copies and my approach so far is to mail them one or two chosen images (as jpegs) so that they can get a print made, on the strict understanding it is for personal use only.

Thanks Gordon. I tried contacting Classic Rock, to ask if they would consider using me occasionally for gig photos/reviews, because that would save me an awful lot of hassle trying to get photo passes for gigs (it is really difficult to get them as a freelance photographer unless you are working on behalf of a publication like Classic Rock). I have to rely on knowing someone in the band, or sending lots of begging emails.

However, predictably I suppose, they didn't even acknowledge my mail.

I've always admired Ross Halfin's photography, going right back to the 70's in Sounds and Kerrang etc, although I wish he didn't have such a condescending attitude at times.
