Right now, it's only available in certain select stores (some of 'em are few-and-far-between) and through the walmart.com website. I'm going to try to compile a list of stores that it's available in .......

You'll know when it's available everywhere because Revelation's sales are going to see a very nice spike.

I think my husband bought one for my birthday, which is Saturday, so I'll let you know! I know nothing about MP3 players, so it will be a learning experience I'm sure!

Nope, haven't seen it. Not so sure I'll pick it up after all. I'm curious how long the battery life is. Great gift though.

It was supposed to be available as of July 22nd. It's also a WalMart exclusive, obviously.

I got one but haven't really played with it too much yet. The thing is alot smaller than I thought it would be, and it looks really cool.

I'd buy a Journey MP3 player if it had more memory.

I heard that if you wipe out the pre-load (which is at 320kbps) and encode everything at 192kbps you can load every Journey song minus the live CDs and GH collections. So your Journey player can play nothing BUT Journey if you like.

Now THAT is cool!

That player is WAY overpiced for its capacity. I can understand if you are a collector of Journey merchandise but otherwise you are better served getting the CD an loadng it on an iPod. This is just a gimmick, novelty piece.

Well yeah.......I thought that was assumed by everyone. I got it as a gift, but I was planning on buying it myself just to have an official Journey MP3 player. I never thought I would see something like this! :D

Agreed. Also if it were an iPod like U2's.

It should be shaped like a scarab with wings that open up.

On the zvue website it says that the player is for windows and comes with a usb charger. Does that mean it won't work or charge with a mac? anyone out there know?

there were six on display. the unit charges with my mac and an icon appears on my desktop. click the icon and it displays the contents of the player. i tried to drag files from itunes over to it but it doesn't accept them I think because they aren't mp3, wav, or wmv. tried to load a cd into it and it didn't work either. maybe I need an application of some kind. anybody know?

ITUNES SUCKS. You might have to burn your mp4 files to cdrw through Itunes and rip them again but select mp3 as the output file in Itunes.

What Gunbot said above is true.

Your iTunes is defaulted to rip into their format but you can go into "Advanced" in your preferences and tell it to rip to mp3 and what quality you want.

Since it gave you a folder then it should be fine as long as they're mp3 formats.

I went to properties in itunes and changed the recording to mp3, reloaded my Escape CD into Itunes and then I dragged each song over to the ZVUE window and it worked! I'm just going to reburn all my journey cd's into itunes as mp3's and make it a 'Journey-only' player.
