Of course it is it's a bloody studio track! You can't make silk from sh!t though and this is definitely silk of the finest quality.

Decent voice. Cheezy ass keyboard part though. Totally wrecks the track. Ugh.
Sounds like something from "Iron Eagle 13". Terrible track.

Wow, that was hard to believe. That guys is really good and sounds like SP in the ROR-Frontiers era. The song kinda sucked but his vocals are damn good. Vladan, you might just be right bro, nice find.

Sounds a bit like Jonathon K...the mega voice from Q5. At this point I break down, sobbing uncontrollably at the mere mention of Q5, JK and Floyd Rose's wang bar...

"Your Tears Will Follow Me"..perhaps the finest Big Blouse anthem ever penned.

Here's "Steel The Light" for non believers...

You know, I've never made the connecting to Benny Mardones until recently. A friend of my grew up in upstate NY where Mardones lives. I was playing him Journey and Valentine stuff and comes back with Benny Mardones. It flipped me out but after having a listen, there are similarities. Benny's stuff is a bit soft for my tastes but there is a bit of a connection there.

For my money, this guy still is the closest to the ROR Perry sound especially near the end of this song.

... and when they bring him in to audition, they'll tell Arnel its Deen's cousin, right before they ninja his ass out of the band. Or they'll shove Arnel down a flight of stairs and then tell him they can't wait for him to be ready to tour any longer and they're auditioning singers. OR they'll get the new guy to fill in, give him the job and then indian-give it the fuck back.

That bag of tricks is getting deeeeeeeep, man.

You may be onto the core of this. The rerecords happened because they can't get caught using Perry's or Augeri's voices anywhere.

Is it just me, but is anyone else sick of hearing about soundalikes? Nothing against this person or anyone elses talent. Hearing about it, the comparisons and critques is kind of done to death. This has been going on since 1998.

After Arnel's getting the glass slipper to fit on his little foot, any vocalist that sounds like Perry will be on youtube, waiting in the wings. You just know that Schon is now aware of this guy.

He's much better than Arnel, imo.

Perry? more like Survivor

Sounds like the lead singer to Survivor, not Steve. Steve's voice has presence. This is Steve light. Please.

Depends which Perry you're talking about. This guy is certainly no Perry from the Escape or Frontiers eras but he is sure as shit miles ahead of Perry circa TBF. That Perry wasn't much of what he used to be and he certainly couldn't pull off half of the notes this guy did in that song. This guy is very on par with what Perry was around ROR.
