I had a really good view of his X-Games type jumps twice from the front row and it's really a show all by itself. He gets at least 6-8 feet (feet relative to the ground) off the ground. It's pretty amazing.

OMG!!! A split way up in the mid air. What an amazing acrobat. I hope he doesn't get hurt, I already got my ticket for the next month's show at Concord.

I've had the pleasure of being on the front row in front of Neal twice this year..watching Arnel jump up close like that is sumpin else; BUT, when he jumps from the floor all the way to the top of Deen's riser in ONE leap is truly amazing. I hope he has those ankles taped.

It's not photoshopped. He's not even above the drums. It looks like he's higher than he is because Neal and Ross are farther away than it appears, and he looks like he's towering over them, when in fact he's only mid to 3/4 of the way to the top of Deen's drums. I've seen him higher than this...in person. It's truly amazing how high he gets.

its not photoshopped. :)
i took a snap shot of a youtube clip where he was singing SW (i guess).
he jumped from the riser, and did a perry spin as soon as he landed.

then a summersault, a backflip, and a 720 to finish.

He looks higher because ehe's jumping off the drum riser, but it's still pretty impressive.

MG, those photos are awesome, aren't they? I don't care if Arnel is leaping off a ladder, he looks damn cool doing it and he still has to land without breaking his legs.........impressive.

Wow! It's funny to think back to the days when quite a few of us here (including me) Thought that Arnel had zero stage presence... how wrong could we be?

I don't think the Jboys knew they were getting such a great package with AP. They hired him for the voice.

He bought a great backstory but didn't tell them he could fly.

That just looks really odd, like it's not real or something. But yeah, Arnel has always had that ability to do some really cool jumps and stage performance. Not only are they physically astounding, but Arnel can also time them so precise to land right on the note or drum beat. He used to do something that looked much like a Taekwondo air kick off the drum riser and onto the stage at the very end note of Bohemian Rapsody back in AMO Band. I was on the right of the stage directly behind Uly and AMO would do a signature ending to that song. I knew something was going on cause Arnel is on his knees counting while looking face to face at the drummer. And then Arnel springs way up and outward away from the drum set and does this incredible 340 degree taekwondo style air kick, spinning completely around one and a half times with one leg out as that specific kick calls for, and lands on the lower stage facing the audience at the precise moment the ending note/drum beat hits to the signature ending to that specific song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUiSDtq2FTY

The kick Arnel did was pretty much like what this guy in the video above did. Since Arnel was up on the drum riser and jumping off to a lower level, he had time to do a longer spin and position himself to land on both feet instead of just one like the guy seen in this example video shot in Korea did.

To me, it was incredible to say the least, and the audience went completely ape-shit over it. That was one hell of a stunt which I never seen him ever do that exact one again, perhaps he was even surprised how well that one went. He used to do a bunch of stuff, but that one though was definitely a one of a kind for sure. Glad I was having the show video taped that night, so some day you'll all see the actual jump Arnel did on that night that I'm talking about.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but he needs to stop doing this. He's gonna blow out a knee or break a foot. He's not a young man anymore. I believe he said his body is soar on the latest chat. I wonder why? He's doing a great job but I would suggest these two things: 1. Cut back, if not elimate jumping. Reduce the height of the jumps to more modest levels. 2. Cut back on the chats.

Beside that, keep up the good work.

I'm adding one:
#3. No mic flips. Too Soto.
