The ladies at Jonathan Cain's website have put together a package of prizes for both raffle and bidding to benefit The National Center For Missing & Exploited Children. You'll have the opportunity to play a round of golf with Jonathan or Jason Scheff, the singer for Chicago.

Also, I have created and donated 4 mirrors that are available to bid on along with concert paraphernalia, original artwork, signed CDs, videos, etc.

Please check out the webpage when you get a chance. If you're able to help out, that would be great. If you are unable or unwilling, that's OK too. However, please let's keep all of the negativity and smart remarks out of this thread PLEASE. This all boils down to helping out children that need help when they need it the most. And that's what I'd like this thread to stay focused on.

Additionally, I was told that although the auctions state that 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the charity, that's not true. All net proceeds will go to the charity.

You can click on the pictures to view larger versions. Thanks for looking:

Just one more thing, I am with Ken on this. This is about returning abducted children to their home. Children are kidnapped, mollested, and killed every day. We need charities like this to help find and return them to safety if possible. Also to stop and or catch the perpetrators that would harm them, or have already harmed them. This is a great charity, that is why I donated the two drawings. These children need your help, if you can.

Yes. Let's. Very important cause, and one which touched my immediate family once quite a long time ago. In addition, and I know its this way in every city, esp. large cities, but Chicago is unfortunately a hot spot for these tragedies... the news stories... omg...

I'm going to check out that link, thanks for posting. :D

No idea. I assumed 'Chicago charity' = 'Chicago' event but I didn't read the link yet.
Either way, I'm still more local then the 'Bat. Offer stands. 8)

Thanks Linda, appreciate the compliment. The "Scheffland" mirror broke during transit and I had to scramble to make a replacement in time for the fundraiser.

Thank you. Your artwork is awesome. How long does it take for you to do one? I've been able to knock a mirror out in as fast as 2 days. But average time would be about a week from start to finish including frame.

Each of those drawings took an average of 60 or more hours to do. I say about a week of working on it. I really wish I had more time to bring them to true "polish". I like my portraits to be more smooth. That takes some time! Unfortunatly the photos are hard to get to turn out. They are nicer than they appear. Graphite has a gloss to it, and will shine in a picture in some places, and be dull in others. It is not a true likeness of the drawing.

Your mirrors are beautiful! I especially like the one with Jon's face on it! :D

Thanks! Wow, 60 hours? Believe it or not, cutting out Jonathan's face on that mirror only took about 20 or 30 minutes. It was so ridiculously easy I couldn't believe it. I thought it was going to be the hardest part of the mirror. Carving out the keys in the frame was by far the hardest.
