Seriously! Who Would You Vote For President? And Why?

This is very important serious stuff for me!

This is my very first time to vote for U.S. President! And I'm really excited about it! ... but I have yet to make up my mind.

Through this poll, I just would like to have a feel of what MR guys and gals think...at least those that would care to share me their personal thoughts.
Please vote, and kindly give reason for your choice---in 100 words or less, if possible.

Any non-racial, non-hateful, non-stupid idea/information is most welcome!

I realize that some people may think that my one vote will not make any difference....but who knows? This thread may also help other new voters, independents, and/or those who could not simply make up their minds!

Any argument you get ITT is going to be really biased. Maybe most people here lean a certain way, then you won't get a real picture of the situation at all. Better start out voting by doing it right, or don't vote at all.

I've maintained that I would not vote for either major party candidate. I still may not although I'm considering holding my nose and voting for McCain but only because I'd much rather have him nominating Supreme Court justices rather than Obama.

Good point, Sarah...but I believe there's nothing wrong with wanting to have a feel of what my MR family thinks! ---at least those members who are willing to share, as I pointed out.

I became a conservative Republican at a young age when I learned about the importance of limited government and low taxes. Although John McCain may not be a perfect conservative, he is the clear winner over Barack Obama, who plans to further expand the Government's power by increasing its size and scope and put our economy further in jeopardy by raising taxes.

Clinton REDUCED the size of the Federal Government by 30%. Bush has increased it by 40% over the 1992 level (30% if you exclude non-homeland security and 9/11).

Middle income families have NEVER been in this terrible a state financially - due ENTIRELY to Bush's fiscal "policy" which has made the richest 10% that much richer and ruined everyone else.

Go ahead and vote for more of the same.

I'm not happy with either candidate honestly, but if I were forced to vote with a gun to my head, I'd punch the ticket for Obama. I just can't imagine 4 to 8 more years of Republican rule after what that party has done to this country in the last 8 years.
