Journey Tour - Multiple Shows

Alright Everyone,

Here's tonight's question ...

What is the greatest amount of shows you have seen on any particular Journey tour - what tour, and where and why?

For myself, I saw the Journey / Def Leppard tour 3 X, and Journey w/ JSS just 3 months later in Pompano Beach in Feb. 2007, so 4X on that tour, in total ...

Discuss ... The winners will be announced by mid-week ...

Michael

Three times.

Generations Tour:
Indianapolis, IN - Chicago, IL - Champaign, IL

Journey / Def Leppard Tour:
Indianapolis, IN - Chicago, IL - Bloomington, IL

Revelation Tour:
Indianapolis, IN - Chicago, IL - ???

Maybe the Revelation Tour will tie the others for the most, if they add a third leg or I find a way to make it to St. Louis on September 13. :)

Probably the 2001 tour after Arrival was released, I remember seeing the band at least 3 times when Peter Frampton was the opening act. Also the tour before that when Foreigner was the opening act I went twice to that.

If I told you my answer, you wouldn't want to hang out with me.
In fact I'd be evicted from this thread. LOL!

Not true! I'm just in a different stage of life, that's all. Spent many, many years raising 3 kids on teachers' salaries ... couldn't afford to go to ANY shows for a really long time.

We'll rock extra hard in Cleveland to make up for both of our deficits!

In my defense... I was too young. That damn Perry came in and made them famous when I was just barely walking (fucker! ) so I could never quite catch up. Then I was married and in another world altogether and missed the Augeri years. So I can claim *1* show (JSS in '06). Now I'm free again, going to Cleveland, and making backseat martinis while listening from the parking lot.

Sadly, only twice on the Escape tour and twice (backtoback dates) on the Frontiers tour. All the shows were in Philly. That's the extent of my fandom. All I can plead is quality over quantity.

Are you kidding! I'd take 2 Escape shows ANY old day! I'd take *ONE*!
Shit, I'd take 20 minutes listening to that from the door!!! :(

I would have liked to have seen that. I always wanted to dismiss Peter Frampton like some "Leif Garrett"/"David Cassidy" type icon, but then I caught the guy playing guitar on TV once and was blown away at how good we was on the guitar.

Frampton's awesome live; the hair's gone, but the talent is stronger than ever ...

One Escape concert back in May 82 is the only Journey show I've ever seen. LOL, although I've been to at least 5 JSSB shows....thanks to Journey. I'm like you and Linda, did the marriage and babies thing and didn't go to many concerts for quite awhile.

and me too. I didn't go when they were in the heydey, ala pre perry (my opinion -leave me alone. :P ) cuz I lost Neal for a while after Santana. it's one of my biggest regrets--and they performed down the street from me. dangit. I didn't go to the tours , Escape and Frontiers, but I was there in spirit. ROR--Ross stayed home so I did too. o :x only went to 1 ROR tour.

I seem to be making up for lost time. :?

btw-Peter Frampton was AWESOME on that tour.
