wouldnt it be funny if they make him cut his hair, and wear black t-shirts with suspenders next year... ?

That's not what Perry wore.

That's just a black and white vest that's too long for him. He's only like 5'4", I'm sure he winds up wearing a lot of clothing are too long.

Perry wore a yellow shirt with some kind of animal print on it and a tailed tux coat.

Not exactly the same. Maybe, it just happened that he wore leopard-print vest with a coat tail and sporting long hair. It just also happened that he has a tenor voice. hmmm...
Indeed preserving the legacy with a twist.

I was in the front row right in front of Nancy Wilson and then Jonathon Cain. This concert was unreal. Cheap Trick rocked as well. What a show, man.

I think someone thought that black and white animal print looking vest was an attempt to mimic Perry, but I refuse to believe that. Perry seemed to go with that yellow spotted shirt topped with a tailed tux coat for the whole Escape tour. Arnel seems to change up his wardrobe, or it's changed by someone for him, a whole lot. Eventually he's going to wear something that might have an animal looking print to it. No biggie.
But you can decide for yourself.

Arnel selects his own wardrobe. That was one of his requests.

So he really does?! The idea somehow occurred to me before...when I noticed the common wardrobe in this Zoo/Journey remix:

My wife and I went to this show...Here is a review I wrote earlier...
The sold out show started right at 7 pm and Cheap Trick came out. The band did a great job...I heard songs I did know but did not realize it was Cheap Trick who sang em. The Flame was really the only one I knew they did. The guitar player was very interactive with the crowd throwing out picks, showcasing his guitar with multiple necks on it, and giving good energy. The singer was really good..
Which brings us to Heart...The band blew me away! Ann Wilson can sing heads above anyone! She sounded perfect on this night. Her pitch was impeccable. I got chills. Nancy Wilson is just as good as her sister....a very entertaining set with all the Heart hits.
Ann's vocals were the best I have every heard in any concert experience in my life and that is a lot of bands..then again, I never saw Perry.
The waiting time for each band was minimal so hats off all the guys in the hard working crews.
It was time for Journey to come out. Over the loud speakers, ACDC's "Back in Black" got the crowd soo pumped. Arnel, Ross, and Deen were having fun with the camera man making faces as they walked out to the stage which was great to see.
Journey came out...all the classics and the new ones were perfect for this long time fan.
It was really magical seeing Arnel live for the first time. Finally, after reading about him and seeing him on Youtube, we got to see the man, the myth, the legend. He blew us out of the water of couse. He sounded really, really good live. Simply mind blowing. Just like the recordings, Arnel has brought the high soaring tenor back to Journey. His stage presence...leaping off the drum stand several time during the show...was amazing.
Neal looked like he was playing guitar with an excitement like this was his first show. The energy of Arnel on stage must have this effect on him...Neal was kickin as always. He rocked our world as he always does....a true rock god indeed.
Jon seems he has really come into his own on rhythm guitar..he was really rockin. He sounded really on. His new piano sounded crisp...very nice tones out of that. Loved his solo right before Open Arms.
Ross and Deen were layin down that backbone like there was no tomorrow. These guys are the best at what they do. It was especially nice to see Deen again. At the 2006 show at Darien he was sick, so it has been 3 years since I had seen him. His backing vocals and killer drums were legend as always.
Minus the dope with the huge professional looking camera (What were u thinking? Security got ya!) and the drunk people right in front of us and next to us (leavin their seats every 5 minutes)....it was a fun show.
The graphics during the show were neat. Seeing Journey made out into the Soparnos logo was really cool. The sound, lighting was great for this show. Almost everyone stood for the whole show, which was cool.
All in all, my 7th Journey show was just as amazing as my first, 10 out of 10!!!!!
