This was my first show seeing Journey with Arnel. My last was with Jeff in2006 and before that with Steve Augeri 18 times. To start with ,I got there late, and the end of Cheap Trick, I was going to rush in ,then saw Friga s mug on the screen next to the big $10.00 cans of beer, and the pisser next store. I went for door # 2.{not Friga playin keys for CT} When in with that huge can, and saw Heart they were so fuckin good.Ann sang her ass of. Nancy slayed me. She still looks hot, they way she move s.I was 2inches away from a full boner. She played mandoline, and sang a solo song. her voice was so sweet, everything about her was sweet. she will be mine later. {if ya know what i mean}.Went out on the next break but another big ass can of $10.00 beer. Bud light this time.came back to hear Never Walk Away, made the whole row move so I could get back to our seats{which we never used} They sounded great. Then they did Only The Young [ my favorite}Arnel blew me away{just like hid did when I heard him do that song on the remakes.}From then on it just got better and better. He nailed every song.He gave it eveything he had.I was so impressed.I was in 5 th row, and half the time there was no one in front of us. We made eye contact and hand gestures and all, he made contact with my daughter also, mimiked her head shakes and hair swirling gestures as well. He worked the crowd personally. No bullshit.I looked at Neal twice. Friga stared at my shirt for 8 seconds, Ross laughed and shook his head. The band kinda looked boring me, maybe because ive been there done that,or because of the baggage.Arnel more than made up for it.Then Friga grabbed his mouth harp. I had to piss, and the last thing I wanted to see was Frigas mouth blowing on something.I hit the head, and of course they locked the $10.00 cans of beer away, Shit.Came back for the encore, tipped over the can I had left, people were scambling like the was a toxic substance on there shoes, one guy left [fuck him} this was the best show I saw since 2003 when Steve A was in his prime. I didnt get to trashed so I remember it all. I had a dude trying to give me a almost full bottle of wine on the way out WTF? Thats all I need. I took a few swings and gave it back.I had a great time. I wasnt crazy about Arnel fronting Journey in the beginning [you all know that} But he was such a good showman and his vocals were flawless. I was dead wrong before.I didnt notice any accent issues, and again I was really impressed how personable he was. I know when I make contact with someone. We hooked up tonight {not in a gay way either Friga} Journey better appericiate him. The crowd dug him also.If anyone has any reservations about seeing Journey with Arnel, flush um down the can. he is fucking good period.Go hear him belt out the tunes. If you dont like it you could be #1Gay, #2 deaf#3 retarded. thats is my reveiw, please dont delete it Andrew, it was hard for me to do this{if you know what i mean} sorry for any [many] spelling issues. I would like to meet Arnel off stage one day.I like that dude

Well someone was less tired than I last night after the Bristow Nissan Cluster Fuck Parking Lot. Sonofabitch is all I can say. They have some stupid MFer's directing traffic there.

Anyways. The show was great. Cheap Trick a little drab and bland. Heart unfucking real. I second the Nancy Wilson sentiment. Damn she is still smokin hot, a true rocker chick nice everything and an incredible voice. Jams too! A little disappointed no Dreamboat Annie but the set list was excellent. They could have played for another hour with the songs they left off. Ann Wilson was simply infuckingcredible. I am a rocker by nature but I do admit haing an infatuation with Nancy and a guilty pleasure of some Heart. Just when you thought Ann could not outdue herself, she'd belt an even higher note and hold it longer. Frankly they were the favorite part of the show for me. Her pitch, tone, heart & soul was in the songs and it sound damn near perfect and the Nancy thing didn't hirt either. Quite a stunning performance I'd say. I would give it a 10/10 for sure. They looked happy to be there and were laying it down. I kept catching myself saying unreal! Very impressive and I will go see them again if they come through.

Journey. Well I liked Arnel and the nice Filipino contingent of booty he drew. I have a thing for asian, eastern pacific women too and for that matter any hot woman and they were there enmasse, LOL! These folks love him and were there in droves to support him which I thought was admirable. He is almost like a hero it seemed. I watched a Dad with his son hawk his every move and keep telling his son what it looked like was see anything is possible for anyone. He has had a dramatic impact on his fellow countrymen for absolute certain and they could probably sell out 20 shows in Manila alone.
His showmanship was outstanding and he truly is enjoying this and feels blessed to be there and that comes across in his energy and demeanor on the stage. Personally I thought he got out of the gate a little slow on the "old Journey" and killed the new stuff. Never Walk away was awesome and he seems extremely comfortable, much moreso than on the old stuff. Effortless on the new, sometimes seem to be straining on the old. He still sounded great after the first few songs in my opinion. I prefer more from Infinity and Evolution as well as escape. The majority came from Frontiers on I believe. I just love the entire albums on all three Infin, Evo and Escape and like deep cuts, but that is just what I prefer. He killed Open Arms and then the crowd got off their asses finally. They were more dud like tonight than I had seen in awhile. I would love to have heard Sunshower but they doonly have so much time. In al the band seemed sluggish but Arnel had enough energy for all of them. He is a blast to watch as well as listen to. I was very impressed by his performance and the catalog seems chosen for his comfortable range. When he stays in it, he sounds incredible. The orchestra seats made the show and this was well worth the time and effort to see. A great show!

Turn Down the World Tonight would make a great encore. best way of ending a concert is promoting the revelation album itself.
