Journey or ?

Postby tj » Mon Sep 08, 2008 4:36 am

This past week, as I was driving from Chicago to Green Bay in a rented Dodge JOURNEY, listening to JOURNEY, I had a thought. If I had a choice between attending a Journey concert and another band, who would the other band be (a still together band who still tours from time to time) that I would go see over Journey?

I think probably the WHO. This morning I started wondering if anyone else has ever had that dilemma?

Over Journey? Get the fuck outta here!

Maybe Springstein. RockinDeano and others I've talked to have said it's a show that's not to be missed.

Iron Maiden, Asia, Jimmy Page, Triumph, Yes and Rush. If I hadn't seen Heart a couple of years ago it might be a more difficult decision.

The Who is so awful right now it's not even funny. Daltrey is SHOT. They need to hang it up immediately... your Journey experience would be far better

I love em. But their performance now really is a travesty. Plus, Endless Wire wasn't very good.

It's gotta be Rush. One of the best live shows around at the moment and they seem to get better with every tour.

You might want to edit that before the Ban hammer comes.
Here's the thread where those go. :D

Does it have to be another band? Or just another concert that isn't Journey?

Another band I would drop Journey like a hot potato for - absolutely The Who.
Been a fan since I was about six... so no question.

If we're talking Another "concert", not "band"? I'd drop BOTH those bands in one second flat for Steve Perry because I've seen bother Journey and The Who multiple times. Not that I'm all that likely to ever run into a situtation where any of those things are happening in my town at the same time, but that's my choice. 8)

Yes. They were through here a few months back. If you can't catch them on tour, the TimeLife "Love Songs of the '80s" or (something like that) commercial is on late night. :D

Id have a serious problem if Alice Cooper showed up in the same town as Journey.

I'd probably have to flip a coin.
