Cheap Trick were awesome! Friga joined them for Surrender! Next up
Heart. Well was supposed to be! The sisters came out and Nancy says
due to the bug that has been floating around the tour Ann is unable to sing!
Boy was I PISSED THE FUCK OFF! I was so looking forward to hearing them
play as I had never had the chance before.
SO, Journey played a whole 2 hrs. All I can say is THEY ROCK! I was very
impressed with all of them. Especially Deen! I got to hear him sing Mother,
Father Live! He kicked ass! He is my new favorite Journey member! AP was
in top form! Neal was.....I am speechless! They sounded like I remember
back in 81' last time I saw them. Smaller venue but a sold out crowd of
15,000. I will for sure see them again!

OK, it's bedtime. I somehow read this thread as "Clarkson joints Journey in Michigan," and I had this vision of Kelly Clarkson and her band performing in between Cheap Trick and Journey. She's the most talented Idol, by a long shot, but...eh. Sooo tired.

Did they add a couple more songs from Revelation, with the longer set? Just curious.

It's been a few concerts since AP disclosed that they were practicing What I Needed. No luck?

Oh wow. That was great for the Journey fans to get a longer set, but the poor Heart fans must have been devastated.

Every review has pretty much said when they play new songs people sit down or go to take a break. I wonder how many of these people actually bought Revelation. I think the majority of them are there to see 80's music and probably don't even know about Trial by fire and anything newer. I think the bands are giving the crowd the playlist that they want, the songs that bring back the memories of younger days and good times. They could play a setlist straight from the Frontiers tour and the crowd would eat it up.

If this is the case tomorrow night in Indianapolis I wouldn't be too disappointed. A two-hour set from Journey? I'm in. Although I am excited to see Heart...
Hope Ann is feeling better.

Ahhhh a Sunshower silver lining!
Good to see that you got a 2 hr show from the Fellas.
Understandable being P'd off by Hearts misfortune, I'd a flung an F'ewe or two.
Thanks for telling us of your good time lady.

Seriously, this is an actual comment I heard from at least 4 different people while in line buying a Tshirt. "Wow, $15 for 2CD's and a DVD, that is such a great deal!!". I didnt want to say anything about Walmart being cheaper but seriously are you living under a rock or something that you actually went to the Journey concert but still didnt know they were selling a CD/DVD for cheaper then $15. PLus, I didnt want to stop them from buying Revelation right there on the spot.

That just tells me that these people aren't REAL fans then....BUT since some of these people are going to get up anyway...instead of playing a DEEP cut such as Edge Of The Blade, play something NEW so at least they can hear it on the way to the bathroom or concession stand. REVELATION is a great CD, it's doing well on the charts and people need to hear it, subconciously or not!

From the time Journey took the stage no one sat that I could see! It was pretty awesome. Old and young
singing and swaying to the music. Can't wait to see them again!

I think it depends on the market. The new songs went over very well in New York and fairly well in Cleveland. Dallas was so-so as was Charlotte. Vegas had a pretty strong Filipino contingency so the new songs went over well there, too. I'm interested to see how they go over in Chicago since our horse shit stations never play any of the new songs.

Well, considering the two L.A. shows sold out in a day each, they could probably play 6 or 7 songs from Revelation as the crowd will definitely have an Asian tint to it. Heart and Cheap Trick could probably take one of those shows off. The Revelation stuff might be a little easier for Arnel's pipes also.

Tell me about it, it's the same way here in South Florida. Ya know what really pisses me off? You'll see the various radio station vans parked out front as you enter the concerts and they'll kiss the band's ass and play a couple of NEW tunes the week of the concert and then you'll never hear them played again. Very typical of the CLASSIC ROCK formatted stations. Someone at the top dictates or thinks they know what the majority of the public wants to hear. Ummm..NO THEY DON'T!
