Fuck this racquet. I was on the site at 10 am and they did not turn on til 10:09 my first offering was section 410. Until the bands find a more fair way for fans to get tix and the scalper bitches to not buy them all I am not going to another fucking show! They can all blow me!

Sorry to hear that. We joined the fan club and I will be buying tickets in about 30 seconds. Wish me luck!

ROW 2!!!

If anyone else is considering joining the fan club - I highly recommend it! Anyone going to see them in Oakland or Houston still has a little while before tickets go on sale, so take the time to join the fan club & score some great seats!

I had Section 1 Row 6 in Chicago (no fan club) and hit the search again button by mistake

Ended up in the middle of the floor. Not bad, but I'm such an idiot.

On your recommendation, I joined the fan club to get good seats for the Oakland show. I'm confused though... how/where do you get your presale passcode? They go on sale tomorrow and I can't find out anywhere in that place how you receive your passcode. What is the process?

it's not obvious, but there is a log-in "button" near the nav bar. you'll see your unique passcode once you log in.

Thanks. Is there a limit on number of tickets? I need 4.

Hey Barb. As Cyndy said you log in and click on "tickets. By tomorrow morning there should be a link that says "get tickets" next to the Oakland show. It might not be there yet because they don't go on sale for a while yet. So I would get the passcode at say 9:30 and then you can just use it on Ticketmaster at 10:00.

They actually limit you to 2 tickets unfortunately. We also wanted to get more but we just had to settle for that number.

Best of luck!

Matt

This could be interesting for the scalpers. I wonder if it will work. Here is what my e-mail for Chicago says:

"You will receive your tickets via: Paperless Ticket - IMPORTANT: You will not receive paper tickets for this event. At the time of entry, you must present the credit card used to purchase your tickets as well as a valid photo ID (such as a driver's license, state ID or passport). Your entire party must enter the venue at the same time. Tickets are non-transferable. "

Very good idea on the part of ticketmaster, which is surprising coming from them. All of the best seats for the show are paperless, which at least eliminates the outrageous prices for front floor seating.

So far the only seats I've seen being scalped are in the upper sections, so it looks like they can't find their way around this one. Hopefully this will be used for all shows eventually.

I wish I could have bought more tickets! My best advice at this point would be to check Ticketmaster every so often because there's always a chance that some extra seats will be released.

They were my first concert ever back in '81. I paid 12.50 for the ticket.

That's so cool. My first concert was just a month before yours on the 7th of November. It wasn't AC/DC though. :D

ac/dc's management most likely came up with the idea. TM's job is to simply sell as many tix as possible - doesn't matter to whom.

Ok according to this site http://inflationdata.com/Inflation/Inflation_Calculators/Inflation_Rate_Calculator.asp#results the inflation rate from August '81 thru August '08 was 136%.

If ticket prices rose only that much, then based on the 12.50 I paid that would be 30.85

However...at the $90 price that would mean the prices rose about 600% .

What a piss off. :?

Yeah, it's like that with a lot of things. Why do you think you need two or three incomes to survive nowadays. I'm sick of the idiots who tell me that people make more than they did back then so you can't compare. Truth is, prices have gone up much faster than inflation on many things, mostly necessities too.

We got 4 tickets for Oakland. Section 106, row 19. Not the greatest, but at least we're not in the nosebleeds. It was really hard to get in and within five minutes there were no more tickets left. I feel very lucky we are able to get to go at all!
