Little girl version of Arnel

A story for those with little girls.

I heard about this girl from Filipino friends. Discovered on youtube about the same time as Arnel a year ago, this young girl has moved on from being a reject in the Philippines to singing with the likes of Groban and Buble in Vegas, guesting in popular shows in US (Oprah, Ellen, Extra…) and around the world, singing in a World Cup Soccer event, personally invited and sang with Andrea Bocelli in Italy, sang with Celine Dion in Madison Square Garden, and now touring and managed by David Foster.

She and Arnel have uncanny similarities in background – singing contest, poverty, homeless(ness), mother for inpiration, family breadwinner, rejection, a devoted fan who recorded videos of her and Youtube!!!

Can you imagine having gone through a difficult life, and at 12 y.o. (she’s 16 now) denied a singing contract because she wasn’t “pretty” enough (meaning not white/Caucasian-looking enough) to have a singing career? It’s unbelievable that this is not pretty.

Check her out…so much soul and amazing vocal control at a tender age. It’s hard to believe that harsh life can sometimes bring about something beautiful.

Charice has the God given gift of a nearly flawless voice...much like Perry did.

I thought this was going to be his version of the song.

She reminds me of Banig from the Arsenio Hall show almost 20 years ago. Did the rounds on all the talk shows and after a few years, disappeared back to the Philippines.

We've been requesting a duet from Journey for fucking ever!!! Arnel and Charice have so much in common that this is a no-brainer. Jon could probably collaborate with the two and come up with something awesome for them to sing. He's very good at writing in case no one's noticed.

And she has far better performances than that one. She's amazing.

Just add two more verses of lyrics to "Little Girl" and there you go.

The key for her is getting on Nick or Disney. Ellen and other adult talk shows are okay but the kids network are the only way she is going to get her foot in the door here in the states. She needs to be a Mouseketeer but I don't think Mickey Mouse Club is being made anymore.

No, not Disney. She's never going to be that kind of young talent. She's going to be more like Celine when she started out so young in her teens. She's an old soul. I watched this little girl on all the shows, and I truly believe she's going to end up being one of the great singers, like Whitney Houston. Amazing stage presence. Her voice will bring even the most macho men to tears. The way she walked on stage and performed with such confidence at that David Foster concert was amazing, and she was one of only two performers that night that received a standing ovation. And he had some great singers there.
