Perry mention on KLOS

Last night while driving I heard Joe Benson come on after playing two Journey songs saying “Perry’s voice is in prime condition these days, and he couldn’t wait to hear what he’s got coming for us all”
Have there been any other recent spurts of continued rumors about a possible Perry release? I only heard of the post by Laura regarding a demo…and some others saying they are supposedly writing with Perry.

KLOS is very Pro-Perry. The only time I ever heard a new song was when they used NWA as bumper music for Mark and Brian. If KLOS would have promoted Revelation, It would probably have added an extra 500 sales a week in the L.A. area.

At least that, probably more. If WDILYL got airplay, even now, the sales would pick up again.

I do hope it's true. My guess Steve's voice has always been there ready to sing. He just need to feel it in his heart. The man has a gift and I do hope he comes out with something. Cause I'm ready to wait in line bad knees and all.
Thanks much for the info

It doesn't matter that Perry can't pull off the old stuff...Klos would never say anything about it. Sheesh...they probably think Plant is in prime voice ready to sing everything in the original key. I'm sure Perry could do a great studio album, even with diminished skills...just like Coverdale just did.

Lora and Cyndy have heard him sing. They say he sounds great. That's good enough for me. Kind of how you have certain friends who attend a movie, and you trust their critique enough to go pay to see it. You trust your friends with good taste. Cyndy and Lora have great taste in my oppinion. I am looking forward to anything he wishes to do.

Dennis asked him when did he realize he was given such a gift. He spoke briefly about his mother putting him in a boys choir. He spoke a little about the We are the World video. Dennis was cracking jokes with him and his was laughing alot. No mention of new work or anything.. But his speaking voice sound really good. His laugh was less raspy IMO
