Hey there.... 8)

"It's Over" ~ Forrest McDonald, feat. Steve Perry: (originally recorded in 1976 I think; put on Forrest's 1995 Cd, "I Need You")
If I'm wrong, please chime in.....

He was in an band called "Pieces" which was apparently before "Alien Project". I have clip of an interview the BBC did with Perry at some point and it featured a small clip of a song from that band. I haven't listened to it in forever (I think its still on cassette, I don't think I ever transferred it to anything else).

Really, Nora? Didn't know that song was so old. Interesting.

I believe the Sullies were SP's high school band, managed by his Mom. That's what Steve said in the ROR docu. They won a Battle of the Bands contest and played dates around Central CA. There was an interview with an ex-bandmember and some old pics posted on Perryville some time back. No mention about any song records.

Yes, Steve is heavily featured in the song. Here is a link to Forrest McDonald's site where he mentions the song: http://www.wtrhq.com/q_a.htm#2
And here's a new link for the mp3: http://free.mailbigfile.com/8b43e15c0a2 ... tFiles.php

As mentioned above, there is a lengthy online interview with members of the Sullies, you can read it here: http://www.rimpo.com/sullies.html

In addition, Steve Perry was also in a Toronto based band called Privilege in the early 1970s. In a 1984 interview with Music Express, he mentioned that they released a single called Don't It Feel Good - http://www.steveperryfans.com/press/musicexpoct84.html

I think the problem is that the Mailbigfile site is experiencing high traffic and has temporarily suspended downloads. My link should still be valid, but if it's still not available by tomorrow, I can put it up again.
